Something for my followers to read from my heart

You know it’s amazing what authors will say behind your back. I started this blog just too keep my personal reviews, not for it to go this far. I never went to authors for reviews because I knew I had grammar issues. I’m just an ordinary average reader and human. I didn’t go through collage to be an editor. I started having followers and then all the sudden authors started coming to me to and asking for me to read and review their books, so what was I to do? I started reading their book and giving my honest opinion. Now after some gets huge they want throw me to the mud because of my grammar issues, well fine by me, but they know who came to whom first.

The blog will stay open and my reviewer will continue to review but I myself will not be taking any review request in for a while. I really need time to think.
Thanks

Lucky him, he found his mate. Just one teensy, tiny problem. She was already married to someone else.

Meeting the woman of his dreams would have worked a lot better if she didn’t already belong to another man. But Chris wasn’t about to let something like ‘until death do us part’ keep him from claiming his woman. He’ll do anything to win his mate, including throwing his attractive cousin at the pesky husband.

Despite the danger, and her marital status, Jiao can’t help falling for a handsome wolf. Honor says she should stay away, but her curious inner cat is flexing her claws and demanding they claim their man.

But Jiao isn’t the only one falling in love. When her husband finds himself head over heels with a she-wolf, will Sheng do the right thing and end the marriage sham? Or will the past catch up first and bite them?

Charcterfest Interview #1 with a Succubus name Pia by Annie Nicholas

Please welcome Pia and Annie!!

Interview with a Succubus

Hi, I’m Annie Nicholas and I’ve dragged my current heroine along with me to hold my hand during this interview.
I’m Pia Blyton and I’m forcing Annie to come out of her shell. Sort of…  (pushes Annie to the front of the class)

What? (blinks) I write paranormal romance and Pia is my succubus. Wait, not mine-mine, but my character in my new book.
(whispers) Starved for Love.

Starved for Love. She has three boyfriends—
Not boyfriends, suitors, big difference.

How?
Boyfriends implies I love them. I can’t allow myself to do that. It’s too dangerous for my mental health. Suitors are more like… contracted lovers? Geez, that makes them sound like prostitutes. (laughs) Some of them would prefer that, but I don’t pay them. The contract states that we have sex every nine days so I can feed.

What do they get out of it?
Dude! (gestures at her body) All this.

Every nine days, divided by three boy—suitors that equals…
Yes, yes, every three days I have to orgasm so I can feed. Don’t look at me like that. I’m not the writer.  You wouldn’t want to be around me if I don’t feed either. It can get ugly, well actually, I’m told I get more beautiful, but that’s not the point. I get demanding and horny and no one’s safe.

Are you close to your day three now?  (clears throat)
(tosses Annie the evil eye) Yes, I have a date after this so you’re safe.

(perks) Which suitor?

From New York Times bestselling author Jacquelyn Frank comes this first book in The World of the Nightwalkers—an exciting and sensual new spin-off series in which the Bodywalkers, an ancient race of the night, battles the evil forces who prey on them.

The unexpected happens in an instant. On her way to work, secretary Docia Waverley hurtles into a crashing crossroads, and she quickly begins to suspect that things will never be the same. Then, when a tall, blond, muscular stranger intervenes on her behalf, telling her it is his duty to protect her at all cost, what is just a feeling turns to proof positive. That is, as long as Docia’s savior doesn’t turn out to be a crazed kidnapper.

When Ram finds Docia, he has no doubt that she is his queen. But as this golden warrior sweeps in to protect her, he feels something more than body heat every time they touch. He is overwhelmed by a searing connection that goes deep into the twin souls inside him. A desire rises in him that is forbidden—this woman is his queen, the mate of his king, his leader, his best friend. And yet Docia is so vulnerable and attractive that she awakens a hunger in Ram that is undeniable, a carnal craving he cannot yield to . . . not without risking the very survival of the Bodywalkers.

Calling BDSM Authors this is the last round so if you want to get into the fun you better hurry.

BDSM Authors vs. Bitten by Paranormal Romance Reviewers

November 1st – 30th 2012

Last call, so if you want in please be quick. I'll leave this open until October 15, 2012.

The whole month of November, Bitten by Paranormal Romance will be playing the submissive role, while the BDSM authors will be in the dominate role.  Oh yeah, you can't miss this one. You have to stick around to see which reviewer uses the safe word first.

I walked in Wal-Mart the other day and saw they had Fifty Shades of Gray on the shelves, and I got pissed because BDSM has been around for years. But now, this author is going to make a killing off what others have been struggling to do in this so-called taboo market. The cashier at Wal-Mart told me about little old ladies asking for this book, but I guarantee that the little old ladies would scold someone for reading BDSM last year.  The thing that kills me the most is one day I was in Wal-Mart, and the book lady was taking away the Lora Leigh erotic books. She told me,"Wal-Mart said because of the sexual content they couldn't sell these types of  books." But yet here they are selling an BDSM book? What the heck? Well, that got me thinking, and I came home and submitted my idea to my reviewers, and I couldn’t believe the response. They are totally up to this.

Blog tour with romance author Claire Ashgrove

Please welcome romance author Claire Ashgrove!

Good morning!  It’s so good to be back here today.  Since we’re five days into the release of Immortal Surrender, I thought it might be nice to check in with our fearless Templar commander, Merrick du Loire, and see what he thinks of the new turn of events.

ClaireMerrick, it shows through Immortal Surrender that you still don’t trust or care for Tane, but Anne has forgiven him. Why do you think she can but you can’t?

Merrick:  ‘Tis a most unpleasant subject, Lady Ashgrove.  Must we continue this course?  I do not make it habit to speak of the traitor.

Claire:  I know you don’t.  Humor me for a moment or three, please?

(Merrick grumbles, but gives a short nod.)  If ‘tis necessary for the comprehension of our plight, I shall suffer the inquisition.  Quite simply, Lady Anne possesses a gentleness of heart that I do not.  Nor do I possess the desire to cultivate such outside of my relationship with her.  My duties are such that softness and tender-heartedness could be deadly upon a battlefield.

Claire:  But this isn’t a battlefield – not in the temple at least.  This was once your brother.

Merrick:  Indeed.  The very same reason why his betrayal runs much deeper.  Were he another knight, his actions would not be so grievous, though indeed they would warrant punishment.

Claire: Do you think you will eventually forgive him?

Review Beyond Shame by Kit Rocha

Title: Beyond Shame (Beyond, #1)
Author: Kit Rocha
Source: Netgalley
Genre: Dystopia Erotic Romance (BDSM elements)

All Noelle Cunningham has ever wanted is a life beyond–beyond the walls of Eden, where only the righteous are allowed to remain, and beyond her stiflingly restrictive existence as a councilman’s daughter. But only ruins lie outside the City, remnants of a society destroyed by solar storms decades earlier.

The sectors surrounding Eden house the corrupt, the criminal–men like Jasper McCray, bootlegger and cage fighter. Jas clawed his way up from nothing to stand at the right hand of Sector Four’s ruthless leader, and he’ll defend the O’Kane gang with his life. But no fight ever prepared him for the exiled City girl who falls at his feet.

Her innocence is undeniable, but so is their intense sexual attraction, and soon they’re crossing every boundary Noelle barely knew she had. But if she wants to belong to Jas, first she’ll have to open herself to the gang, to a dangerous world of sex, lust and violence. A world where passion is power, and freedom is found in submission.

In the steampunk world of Victorian London, a beautiful vampire seeks out the author of Dracula–to set the record straight . . . If one is to believe Bram Stoker’s legendary vampire tale, Lucy Weston is Dracula’s most wanton creation, a sexual creature of the night who preys on innocent boys. But the real-life Lucy is nothing like her fictional counterpart—and she demands to know why the Victorian author deliberately lied. With Stoker’s reluctant help, she’s determined to track down the very fiend who transformed her—from the sensual underworld where humans vie to become vampires, to a hidden cell beneath a temple to madness, and finally into the glittering Crystal Palace where death reigns supreme.

Haunted by fragmentary memories of her lost life and love, Lucy must battle her thirst for blood as she struggles to stop a catastrophic war that will doom vampires and humans alike. Ultimately, she must make a choice that illuminates for her—and for us—what it means to be human.

Guest post from the CEO of BTS magazine Myra Nour

Please welcome Myra Nour CEO of BTS magazine. Myra is also an author so please check out her website below.

Why did you start publishing BTSeMag?

My daughter, Christy, said to me one day, “we should publish an eMagazine.” Simon and I both were against it because Chris was attending college. When would she have time for this? But she really wanted to do it, so we started helping her look for authors to include in the eMag

Feedburner update

UPDATE. Thanks to Miki Suggestion for http://blogtrottr.com. I signed up and I think I have it up and running. This is for you to get post by email.  If you look at the top left sidebar, you'll see a place to add an email. Just add your email and you will get the post, it worked for me today and others. So, this one seems to work better.

Thanks

Since my attempted of using the free Feedcat failed, I have looked into some more Feedburners. The sad fact is there isn't much for free so with only 60 Freedburners users I can't see myself paying 5.00 to 10.00 a month, plus with most of these feedburner host, if I gain subscribers then it could run into 30.00 or more a month.Until I can find something similar to Google Feedbruner than I will not be having one. I'm sorry but all of this monthly pay here and there is getting too much for this blogger.

To those of you 60 people who uses Google Feedburner you will have it for a few more weeks before they shut it down.

I am considering using mailchimp for my events next year, that way it will be easier for you to keep up with them, but again I have to be careful because if I go over the limit it too will cost around 5.00 a month, if not more it just depends on how many signs up.

The free blogging world is changing fast, it's becoming a dollar digger by the month. This is the biggest reason you see a lot of blogger closing up because they didn't see this coming before they open a blog.

What are you reading this Autumn?

I was looking at my TBR list (not reading any of them, just looking, because I'm really good at managing my time wisely. HA!)
I quickly realized how far behind I was, BUT my mind started to wander again and I ended up making this list of Fall releases that I'm excited for.

I'm sure that there are tons missing from the list, so feel free to comment and tell me what I've overlooked or what books you are looking forward to!

Gabrielle Bisset Sons of Navarus Paranormal Fall Fling blog tour kick off!

Thanks so much to Laurie and all the bloggers here at Bitten By Paranormal Romance for having me here to celebrate the release of the third book in the Sons of Navarus series, Blood Spirit! And the celebration doesn't stop until the last day of October. Until October 31, the Blood Spirit/Sons of Navarus Paranormal Fall Fling giveaway has weekly prizes along with grand prizes of gift cards, ebooks, and cool Sons of Navarus swag at the end of the fling. Be sure to keep reading after the post for details on how to enter!

Blood Spirit is the third book in the Sons of Navarus series and continues the story from the first two, Blood Avenged and Blood Betrayed. When I began brainstorming for this series, I decided that this wouldn't be one of those series where each book is a stand alone. I have a series of novellas like that, but I wanted this series' story to be bigger. So readers are introduced to the first Son, Vasilije, in Blood Avenged and very gently eased into the non-romantic plotline of a vampire civil war between the Sons of Navarus and the Archons. At the end of Blood Avenged, readers meet the rest of the Sons and it all begins.

In the second book, Blood Betrayed, readers meet Saint, another Son, and learn more about the Archons, the law and order vampires who want to take over the vampire world and mold it into their very sterile and cruel likeness. Each book in the series features the love story of one of the Sons but continues the series' plot.
