Having sworn off ever finding love or real pleasure again, she is terrified to realize that she may have found a mate - one that isn't interested in hurting her, but is much more interested in healing her. Their introduction is intense but fast (in the reading sense). But the chemistry is impossible to ignore.

I love that this can be a stand-alone. It is a great way for people to give Sanctuary, TX a try. A nice little sip that will get you addicted to the fast paced writing and great characters of Krystal Shannan.

Commanded really took a different look at the BDSM lifestyle and how it works with different relationships. Chloe is about as vanilla as they come, so Sawyer is a bit surprised when he finds himself attracted to her. He feels the need to claim her as his woman and teach her the ways of his world. But instead, he finds himself changing in subtle ways that surprise everyone around him

Chloe is blown away by the total hotness that is Sawyer Quinn. But when she finds out he's in the BDSM lifestyle, she has some very serious reservations about pursuing a relationship with him. Things are a bit dicey between them for awhile as she becomes more and more convinced that she could never be what he really needed.

This was something far different than what I had expected, but that ended up being a wonderful thing! A completely different look at the Masters of Club Sin that gives you such a good look at what it truly means to be with someone.

I was a little leery of this one at first.  After hearing everyone talk about how good it was going to be, I was afraid that it wouldn't live up to expectations.  I was completely wrong.  There was very little I would even consider changing in the book.  I was drawn in from the get go and it just never let me wander too far away from it.  I just had to keep reading.

Maksimilian (Maxim), is a hard man to crack.  He has his way of doing things and well, that's all there is to it.  So when Catarina (Cat) wanders into his life, well, he's in for a surprise.  Cat is brutally honest while not ever telling him everything.  She's running for her life and sees his pocketbook as a way to get the heck out of dodge.  Being her first (and only) escort job means things don't go the way either of them planned.

There was a great mix of suspense and romance in the story.  While there isn't necessarily a lot of action, we can feel the cloud hanging over Cat the entire story.  But it isn't the center point all the time.  We get to see Maxim and Cat fall in love, learn to trust, and just have a ton of fun together.  Watching them experience joy together for the first time was the best part of the book.

Then ending was equally suspenseful and satisfying.  A lot happens in the last couple chapters but it really takes everything and pulls it together masterfully before giving you a blow out of a HEA.  I will be picking up the first book in the series as soon as my wallet gives me permission.

Kenzie is a brat - and she's proud of it.  She can get the masters at Club Sin to do whatever she wants.  Sounds a little backwards.  But she's not trying to top from the bottom or anything.  It's just her way of coping.  But the masters are tired of it and when Porter, a new dom, agrees to take her on for a month, she realizes that not all doms are so easily swayed.

Porter has been told he has to manage Kenzie in order to receive his Club Sin tattoo.  He takes a new approach to Kenzie and things go in directions neither of them anticipated.  He manages to bring out something inside her that she's long kept hidden.  But she really doesn't like letting it show.

To keep things interesting, there is also some crazy Russian threatening her.  Kenzie really shines in this story.  We see her ups and downs and the reasons for her emotional scars.  It seems like every other chapter she's developed into someone new and better.  Porter, on the other hand, just never seemed to go anywhere.  Don't get me wrong, he was just about perfect already, but with so much growth in Kenzie it really made him look stagnant at times.

I think I know what couple is coming up next, and it's going to be super interesting.  This is such a wonderful series that really looks into why people enter the lifestyle and what they can get out of it.

I think this one just wasn't what I had expected.  I had expected a little more seriousness on the historical aspects, but it seemed that the history was more of just a bit of a backdrop for everything instead of an actual part of everything.  I really enjoy my historical settings and this one fell a little flat there.

The erotic part of the story was definitely on point.  It's more of a low key BDSM with some light bondage, spanking, and feathers for the most part.  But it was very sensual - he loved the anticipation.  The scenes were written beautifully and they really flew above the rest of the book.

I also like a lot of story to go along with my erotica.  It fell a little flat there as well.  Bliss's reason for not wanting to marry Stephan is a pretty bad one, once we find out what it is.  She refuses to tell him why she's been mad at him for several years though - it just didn't make sense to me at all.  He does everything he can to show her that he cares and wants her, but a very minor slip years ago looks like it is going to ruin their chance at being happy together.  This part was just too drug out for me.

I did really like the characters overall - just wasn't quite enough to balance out the rest of it.

This book was not my style for several reasons (even though I still love the series).  It was just too depressing for my taste.  I think Stacey Kennedy hit the nail on the head with the emotional trauma that Mary was going through, but it was just too much on the down side and not enough hopefulness and strength.  There are several scenes where we experience her husband's death with her all over again, and it just made me want to walk away from everything.  In this case, Kennedy's amazing way of conveying emotions might have done more harm than good.

Elliott knows that he wants Mary, but at times it seems like he isn't willing to really go after her.  He keeps leaving the ball in her court, which seems a little counter-intuitive for a Dom.  I wanted to see him work through more of the issues face to face instead of her having to deal with so many on her own.

I really don't want to discourage anyone from reading this story.  It was beautifully told and full of emotions - just not the right ones for me.

I really loved Ella and was excited to see how the vanilla girl would become what Master Kyler was looking for in a sub.   She has a bit of luggage in her past though - luggage she thinks she's overcome, but it is still standing in the way of her being truly happy.  A lot of this book is about situations that directly involve Ella's past and at times it was very interesting and thoughtful, but at other times it was just a little too much in her head and not enough out of it.

Kyler was a good guy, but he was probably my least favorite of the doms so far.  Now, that may sound bad, but he was still a great dom and he is competing against some really good characters from previous books.  He just thought he was right all the damn time, and sometimes he needed to listen to what Ella wanted instead of assuming he knew what it was instead.  And while he wasn't completely wrong - he was far from right as well.  This was my big problem with him - his "I know everything" attitude.

Their story remains very beautiful, perhaps even more so because of these character traits.  There were several times I thought the couple had fallen apart forever and somehow they managed to make it through and come out there other side even closer than they had been before.

Cora is such a fun character in book one, and I loved getting to know her better and even seeing a little more melancholy side of her.  Her relationship with Aidan appears to be a healthy dom/sub one, but deep down it is scarring them both.

Aidan is hiding from his past and not quite letting go of some emotions so he can truly move on.  This is causing his sub, Cora (who is totally in love with him) to slowly sink into an almost depression like state.  When it all finally comes out, they are both hurt and realize just how bad things have become.

Once again, Stacey Kennedy really delivers on the emotion.  It was a roller-coaster in an incredible  way.  You really feel like you are going on a journey with them and when you all finally make it to the other side there's an incredibly satisfying feeling.  There are a just a couple small places where she got a little too flowery with her language for my taste - but it is very minor.

I love this series even more now and I need to see who is next to fall in love.

I think the best part of this book was the deep bond that develops between Presley and Dmitri.  They connect on very emotional level from the very beginning.  They seem meant to be and find a way to help each other through past and present issues, especially for Presley.  Watching their scenes together was very erotic and very touching.

Presley is new to the lifestyle, and she is a little nervous about the whole thing.  She is what they call a natural submissive and this part of her personality has been taken advantage of in the past.  Her most recent ex is quite a jerk as we find out very quickly.  As Dmitri takes her under his wing, she blossoms.  She comes into her own and realizes the power of her personality when gifted to the right people.

Dmitri is quite a dominant man, but he is not sure he would ever find a woman that matches what he is looking for in life.  In Presley he finds quite a surprise.  She intrigues him and he is drawn to her in a way that he has never felt before.  Club Sin is his and it is run by his rules.  The Club itself is a fascinating place.  Very select in its membership and safe in its practices.  I'm interested to see what other matches come from here.

Poor Catrina.  She's a silly girl who likes trendy clothes, a trendy car, lives in a trendy neighborhood, but doesn't have the income to support her spendthrift ways.  When her girlfriend tells her about DMA, she jumps at the chance to find a quick fix to her money problems.  Unfortunately, the featherbrained twit has no idea what she is getting herself into and would have been better off filing bankruptcy.  Instead to have her debt wiped clean, she signs a contract to serve as a sex slave for one year - no questions asked.  Tacked on to the year is the training she must endure before and the months of "follow-up" after her year of service is completed. 

At the auction, Jared antes up and pays off Catrina's debt (and then some; so she will have a "little extra" in the bank when her term of service is finished).  Jared takes his duties very seriously as Catrina's "benefactor" ensuring she is "regularly spanked as per program guidelines."  The majority of Catrina's learning and training was performed on her knees servicing and being available to Jared and others.

THE PAYMENT SERIES is hard-core erotica.  There are no fairytales here, lusty sex scenes or love.  The purpose of Catrina's service is because she "couldn't control her spending."  Some of what you will find are numerous spankings with various implements, gang bangs, anal sex, oral sex, ATM, humiliation, and a machine. At times, the scenes became repetitive and boring, and I didn't really think they served a purpose. Catrina's ass was "reddened" each and every day, often many times a day - it's a wonder she didn't have permanent physical damage.

Finally, Catrina's year of sexual servitude has cum to an end...she's free!  Jared did his utmost best teaching Catrina about finances and how to be financially responsible.  And now the DMA are kind enough to obtain new employment for her.   **Unfuckinbelievable**  That did it...they're all TSTL.

OMG! Hot! Hot! Hot! 

I love reading mostly all genres and I thoroughly enjoy erotica, Midnight Caller was the absolute definition of erotica. It was non stop sex and that is how the connection between Butterfly and Sir grows. I say SciFi influence because I feel as though the story itself is about the relationship between Sir and his Butterfly, rather than focus on the fact that Sir is Bocaj or events surrounding the Bocaj in general. It is just what they are, not what the story is about. 

Rebecca never imagined that someone could actually see in her apartment and would watch her nightly routine of pleasuring herself until she gets a phone call from a mysterious man and tells her how beautiful it was to watch. At first she gets a little freaked out, but the more she thinks about it, the more she actually enjoys it. So she starts to perform for him every night, and as time goes on their relationship becomes more than just watching. 

Oliver is a Bocaj and from another planet, he's been on Earth for centuries and is a Dom. His subs are usually other Bocaj, since their toxin is lethal to humans. He does interact with humans occasionally as subs, but never on a physical level. Then he sees his Butterfly perform and he just has to have her. There is something about her that pulls him to her that he can't really explain. As their relationship grows from observer to physical, Sir teaches Butterfly how to be a sub, specifically his. 

I thought Midnight caller was a good read, it's certainly a sexy scenario. At first I was a little skeptical in Rebecca's trust in a stranger to move forward with the physical part of their relationship but I have to admit, it was adventurous and sexy, so then I thought better of it, lol.  

If you looking for a hot sex filled story, this is the one for you.
