Biochemist Cresso Taylor lives the sort of lifestyle most men would envy—he has wealth,
natural incubus charm, and more women than he can handle. But it’s not enough anymore. Not after meeting Genevieve Russell, the sexy scientist who works with him at Elcorp Laboratory. And she wants absolutely nothing to do with him.

After her fiancĂ© broke her heart, Genevieve has had enough of womanizers. She’s determined to steer clear of sexy-as-sin Dr. Taylor, despite the fact that his incubus allure makes her want to rip his clothes off. But when a secret admirer’s affection turns to the macabre with threatening notes and grisly gifts, Cresso appoints himself her protector. As she and Cresso hunt her stalker, she discovers there’s a lot more to the sensual incubus than she ever imagined.

Laurie's review of book one: Blood of the Demon
Kris's review of book two: Mark of the Slyph

Having heard wonderful things about the Demons of Infernum series, but never reading them, I thought I'd give this one a shot.  Even though it is 3.5 in the series, it held up very well as a stand alone.  I loved that Cresso wasn't only an amazingly hunky incubus, but a brilliant scientist as well.  A scientist that is determined to find a cure for the toxin that his kind have to their non-incubus lovers.  He's been even more determined since he met Genevieve, a human scientist that he can't get off his mind.  Genevieve, on the other hand, is bound and determined to resist all of Cresso's impressive charm and hunky incubus vibes.

With a stalker Genevieve's trail, Cresso is terrified that something permanently bad might happen to her.  A very exciting chase filled with quite a few different paranormal types lead them just about no where.  But along the way Genevieve realizes that maybe she judged Cresso a little too soon.  Could it be possible that his charm is starting to wear down the walls around her heart.

I loved the crazy mix of paranormals in this one - I will be adding the beginning of this series to the soon to be read list.  They were dynamic and the backstory behind their presence here on earth was great.  This one had a great mixture of action and romance.  I only wished that I had liked Genevieve a little bit better.  She took a little too long to drop the ice maiden act for me to really enjoy her.

Cover Reveal: Call of the Siren by Rosalie Lario

Paranormal romance readers should definitely hop on this thrill-ride of a series..." - Night Owl Reviews - Top Pick!
DEMONS OF INFERNUM Series Overview
The DEMONS OF INFERNUM  is a paranormal romance series featuring four brothers who are interdimensional bounty hunters. Set in modern-day New York City, it features a world very much like our own...with one exception. Supernatural beings roam the streets, undetected by most humans. They aren’t the stuff of horror stories—at least not in the traditional sense. They’re species from other dimensions who have traveled to Earth via portals. Most are law-abiding citizens, but every now and again a fugitive goes on the loose...and that’s where our heroes come in.
Bred to be genetically superior by their demon father, Keegan, Taeg, Ronin, and Dagan are hybrids. Each bears unique genetic makeup, yet the four are similar in their loyalty for one another. But as the brothers battle a growing evil, they will each meet their perfect match. They will find their loyalty—and love—put to the ultimate test.
CALL OF THE SIREN is the epic conclusion to the Demons of Infernum series!

The half-siren half-demon bounty hunter Dagan Meyers swore he'd never settle down. His older brothers might’ve adjusted well to family life but tying himself to one woman is so not Dagan’s bag. Until he meets the gorgeous angel Lina, his brother Ronin’s long-lost adopted sister, and he can’t think of being with anybody but her. Too bad Ronin’s well aware of Dagan’s party-boy lifestyle and won’t let him anywhere near his angelic baby sister.
Lina is still getting over the abandonment issues that began when she was orphaned as a child and has devoted her life to taking down evil Otherworlders. The last thing she wants is to develop feelings for man she knows will eventually leave her, too. But as the battle against a growing darkness continues—a powerful fae who’s harnessed untold power—Dagan and Lina find that love may be their greatest weapon against the very thing that threatens to destroy them all.

REVIEW: Mark of the Sylph by Rosalie Lario

Title: Mark of the Sylph (Demons of Infernum #2)
Author: Rosalie Lario
Source: Netgalley
Genre: Paranormal erotic romance
Length: Novel (268 page)
Reviewer: Kris

Half-demon Taeg is desperate to free his pregnant sister-in-law, who is spellbound to an indestructible book that will create an army of the undead. He is convinced that an ancient sword can destroy the book and the spell forever, but this relic has been hidden for a millennia by a powerful glamour. The clock begins to run out on his search when an old rival goes after the book and Taeg’s family in his quest for revenge.

Librarian Maya Flores has a secret: she’s immune to magic and is well aware of the supernatural beings prowling the streets of New York City. Haunted by a brutal demon attack that took her family, she is on a one-woman mission to destroy the evil demons who did it—and any others who get in her way.
Maya is Taeg’s best hope for uncovering the sword.
Unfortunately, she wants nothing more than to kill him. As he fights for her trust and to save his family, she is forced to face the truth that not all demons are evil. And the worst part? She might be falling in love with one, too.

I loved the second story in this series!!

This story picks up where the first one left off so it really helps to read this series in order. The 4 brothers continue to be a part of the story which keeps it interesting. It also makes me want to read their stories. Maya and Taeg were meant for each other. They are both warriors of a sort with damaged backgrounds. My only issue with the story, which is just a personal pet peeve, was the lack of trust that they had for each other. Maya really didn’t trust any demons after several of them destroyed her family so it made sense that she would fight the attraction. There was just no way she could win when they were clearly meant for each other. Taeg made some immature decisions but seemed to learn from them. This novel kicked up the steam another level. Even though they don’t truly hook up until later in the story, the dreams they share and the thoughts they have keep this story steamy from the beginning. Once they get together, it becomes quite the erotic story including anal play. This plot moved quickly just like the first book and had an interesting and suspenseful plot. I’m looking forward to the next one!

Characterfest interview #27 with Keegan by Rosalie Lario

Please welcome Keegan and Rosalie Lario

ROSALIE LARIO
Keegan from BLOOD OF THE DEMON,
Book 1 of the Demons of Infernum

Hi everyone. I wanted to thank Laurie for allowing me to be a part of this year’s Characterfest! Today I’m going to be talking to Keegan, the hero in BLOOD OF THE DEMON. This is the first book in my Demons of Infernum series, which follows four half brothers who share the same demon father. They work as interdimensional bounty hunters for the Elden Council, which governs travel between dimensions. Even though they catch baddies for a living, and are therefore the good guys, they’ve got a little bad in them too. But then I suppose you’d need to in order to hunt down law-breaking demons and other paranorms! Without further ado, here’s Keegan:

Rosalie: So Keegan, what’s it like being an interdimensional bounty hunter?

Keegan: Well, I get to kick people’s asses for a living, so yeah, it’s good.

Rosalie: But it’s a pretty dangerous occupation, don’t you think?

Keegan: Where I come from, which is a dimension called Infernum, simply being alive is a risky proposition. There aren’t a lot of jobs, technology is non-existent, and food is scarce. Everyone’s dying to escape my world, so working for the Council and getting to travel to other planets is a dream come true.

Rosalie: So how’d you and your brothers score such a cushy gig?

Keegan: Our father is a demon who used to work for the Council as a scientist.

Rosalie: Oh, so he got you all your jobs?

My Review
I loved this story!! I loved the new world she built with beings from other worlds. I loved that there were all sorts of different creatures. The 4 brothers were each born from a mother of a different species. Their evil father, however, was their connection and the villain in this story. Keegan was great! He was sexy, sweet, and although conflicted, he adored Brynn from the start. Brynn was a great character. She was strong, smart, and showed her true strength when it really mattered. I loved how the two of them didn’t truly hook up until later in the book, but between dreams and their obsession with each other, there was a lot of steam in this story! The plot moved quickly, was interesting, and had me flipping the pages quickly. I did not want this story to end! Fortunately, we got to meet all of the brothers, and they all interest me. I can’t wait to read their stories!

I really enjoyed the writing style of this author. Blood of the Demon has a sizzling romance along with an awesome paranormal story. I really enjoyed the brothers and even the evil dad as the villain played a nice part of this story. Fair warring this book has quite a bit of blood, hint the name. So be prepared for some gruesome parts.

The first of the story did drag a bit for me, with Keegan making Brynn more acquainted with what they are and how things are. He would lie about something and then the truth would come out and of course, she would freak out and question things. So you have to go through him explain what he is and what she is, but it didn’t last long until they got down to business. I really hate introductions sometimes they just drag out to me when I am ready to get into the story LOL.

The bothers are fun and very sexy, heck they even put their brother first and goes after their dad themselves knowing Keegan needs someone. I really hope they all get a story just for them.

My Review

I loved this story. It moved quickly, and I was excited to see what was going to happen next. I loved the premise of fallen angels trying to save the world. I thought the idea that the humans were just being used for their labor and were assigned to jobs and homes was interesting. I loved the hero, Michael. He was strong, courageous, very honorable and based on the cover, smoking hot! I also really liked Eva and enjoyed watching her try to make up her mind about what to do. I thought her actions, thoughts, and decisions were pretty realistic making the story that much more enjoyable. Great dialogue, perfect amount of time dedicated to details, and great teaser introductions to the other angels. I loved the world she built and can't wait to read all of the stories in the series!
