Review Jeweled by Anya Bast

Jeweled
Author Anya Bast
 Trade paperback 320 pgs.
Erotic romane- M/F/M

Defined by magic. Ruled by desire.

In the Court of Edaeii, magic-imbued Evangeline is rewarded for her gift with a sapphire stone set in the perfect curves of her flesh. Her greatest rival in the royal court is the enigmatic Anatol, instilled with his own powers to manipulate illusion. He may better her in magic, but he is her absolute equal in a ferocious sexual energy begging for release.

They share something else—they’re both targets of low-born revolutionaries bent on over-throwing the palace of the privileged few. Rescued from the mobs by Gregorio, a brilliant insurgent, they’re given sanctuary. But in this warm refuge, Evangeline soon finds herself torn between the magic of one man she has always desired, and the excitingly new and radical moves of another. For her, there is only one choice.
Evangeline, Anatol and Gregorio come together as one to explore the possibilities of love beyond reason, and to indulge—for as long as they can survive—in pleasure without limits.

Anya Bast delivers a superb heartfelt story. I truly didn’t expect this erotica to be so emotional. It took me a bit to really get into this story but as I kept reading the more I was engrossed into the story, I just had to find out what really happened in Evangeline’s past that had her to put walls up on her emotions. You get hot M/F/M sex with back door. There is mention of same gender sex, but it never goes into anything. This is not a quick setup manage, it takes a while for these three to get together.

Evangeline and Anatol knows each other from afar. Anatol has loved Evangeline for years just hasn’t told her. As the revolution starts he grabs Evangeline to save her and himself from sudden death that happens to most of the royals. This is where the book makes you think about your life  and these two have had it on easy street until now they are on there own with no money or a place to live. They meet a lady and she helps them to a point, now its up to them. Evangeline has to try to handle her emotions now that she can’t manipulate them and now she sees she once had everything now nothing just the rags she has on her. She also feels something for Anatol, she just doesn’t know how to respond to it.

Anatol has known Evangeline for a long while and knows she has went though life without emotions, now he has to let her learn and hope she will start having feelings for him at some point. When they both meet Gregorio its not the best of times, he has to help keep Anatol from being beheaded. When Gregorio has them to move in with him  that’s when things start to heat up.

Just when you think Evangeline will start to give over to love, something happens and she wants to shut down again. This book has both a story and great sex so you don’t just get more than one. I suggest this to erotica lovers and paranormal romance lovers, there is use of magick.

I really enjoyed this book. Anya has a writing style that is all its own and that’s what keeps me coming back for more. I love the hot sex and dangerous men with strong women Anya writes along with the added action and excitement you just cant go wrong in trying this series, you may just find yourself truly enchanted as I did.

As I started reading this one I was skeptical for a bit, because of Aeric relationship isn’t one the greatest given his past, with Emmaline, but Anya kept it fresh and flowing very nicely to where I ended up loving the hero Aeric, especially when I read how his feeling runs for Emmaline.

Emmaline I loved her. She has a talent that I don’t want to spoil for you, I will say its not good. When I read how she got that away, WOW! It was very emotional. I don’t quite think I have read a heroine that went through all the pain as she did and then she as to go back through it again.

As the first book I love the world Anya has set up with all the steamy romance, action and sick-o villains. I didn’t find anything I hated or didn’t like, but I find it dragged some that’s the reason for the 4 starts.

Review: Wicked Enchantment by Anya Bast

Title: Wicked Enchantment
Author: Anya Bast
Laurie's rating 5/5

Summary :
When you’re a half incubus, your reputation precedes you…

All eyes are on Gabriel Mac Braire the day he makes his first appearance in the Seelie Court, including those of Aislinn Finvarra. Despite deep bitterness over her last failed relationship, Aislinn cannot help but be curious about the half incubus who is known to possess dark magick, both lethal and sexual in nature. Rumors abound of the women who have become enslaved to his irresistible charms.

So when the Summer Queen of the fae orders Aislinn herself to act as his guide in the court, she is understandably on guard. She’s fallen under the spell of far less persuasive men before. In addition, Gabriel might be more than he seems and his true mission is far from innocent.

This time, Aislinn must protect not only her heart, but her very life…

Laurie's Review
This is the first time I’ve read a book for the beginning of a series that I found easy to understand and flowed together so well, I had fun reading this book it was fresh and exciting, full of adventure and magick, nothing like I expected.

If you want to read this review and don’t want very many spoilers read to where it says, “SOPILERS”.

If you love these things you will love this book
A magick World unlike no other, I have read.
Incubus,
Fae’s,
Goblins,
Boggarts,
Magic animals,
Sexy men ridding on the magic horses, the leader is called Lord of the Wild Hunt.
A lady that can call fae’s form the dead and command armies of the undead, she is called the necromancer.
Then this book is for you… Now if you don’t want to read any spoilers please stop here and go get the book..
SOPILERS--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In this world there is square with a Rose Tower on one end this is where the Summer Queen and her Seelie Court is located. This is where a highly selective fae ruling class lives you know all boning balls and social affairs, these fae‘s must have light and pretty magick, this is where Aislinn comes in she lives on this side with quite a few secrets that she fears if they ever got out she would be exiled.

On the other side of the square with Black Towers there lives the Shadow King and his Unseelie Court this is where Gabriel comes in. Gabriel is half incubus in other words sex on a stick, this is how he is described. The rumors went he is like catnip to women - and when his special brand of magick was wielded at full force between the sheets - he possessed the power to enslave a woman. The affected female would become addicted to him. She’d stop eating and sleeping wanting nothing more then his touch, until she finally died from longing and self-neglect.. Well, it dose say rumors right?? Gabriel is from the dark side of the square so he has dark magick.. The Shadow King sends Gabriel to get Aislinn and bring her to the dark side and it’s a journey you can’t miss..

Overall this book had a good balance not to much sex , but what is there is great, does have good sexual tension between them that keeps you going. I like how some of the secrets I could unlock myself but some came by big surprise.. I love how Gabriel waits on Aislinn he never pushes, I love how Aislinn is tuff but yet thinks of others this is important when it come to calling the dead to do your bidding.. There is a glossary at the end of the book to make it easy to understand.. I now have to stop or I will give out to much.
