They're hot as fire, and if you mess with their mate, you're bound to get burned.

Draven and Ran are dragon shifters, the fire-breathing enforcers of the shifter world. The ones they call when things go wrong. Strong, sexy and wealthy, the only thing the two partners are missing is a mate to share it all with. But that's tricky in the dragon world and after years of searching, the dragons have basically given up. That is, until a sexy, reckless human librarian lands in their path during a mission.

Melissa knows she would have been in hot water had the two handsome, powerful and mysterious men not showed up to save her butt from a group of violent men. Still, when her rescuers take her back to their New York loft, she's confronted by a mystery she never expected. Dragons and other shapeshifting creatures exist. And these dragons are definitely hotblooded.

But as the sexy dragons show Melissa all the perks of being their mate, Melissa is also uncovering the dangerous secrets of the dragon world. If she isn't willing to risk everything, their chances at a happily ever after might just go up in flames.
I am just going to be plain and simple here. If you truly want a good M/F/M ménage story, then I would suggest you move along and don’t bother buying this one. There is no world building, no character development and as for the sex, well that wasn’t hot either. The heroine has never had sex with a man before and their first time she takes them both by double penetration, no joke. The way the book stands now, it's just not enough there to enjoy.

I would rather pay more and get a well-developed book.

Now, faced with making a decision to leave her world and travel to another with the three brothers who are her mates, or so they say. Addie has to make the hardest decision of her life, or wake up form the dream she is having. But the men are hot and the sex hotter, why wake up? HeVan is a world trying to find their lost Queen. When they send out their best men to travel to find her, they find more than they ever dreamed of. HeVan has been dwindling in populations since the loss of their Queen, they need her back and they also need her descendants. Finding them will be the easy part, convincing them they are from another planet will be the hard part.
I really loved the society and history Lucy Kelly has created in this story. She has gone to great lengths to give the reader a new and different world that is just similar enough for us Earthlings to relate to. When the Hevanthians injured queen crash lands on Earth, her only thought is to keep her people alive and well, and part of that involves procreating with the natives.

Generations later, Addie stumbles upon a find that will completely blow her mind - and she is suitable shocked. It's a pet peeve of mine when characters accept things a little to easily, but Addie handles this sudden change in her life realistically and bravely. Although I'm sure the fact that her discovery includes a boatload of hot guys that all seem to adore her helps a little. There are some side characters (which I'm assuming come into the story more later) that accepted a little too easily for me, but Kelly did a good job of trying to explain why and most of the time I believed her.

The romance was a little sudden - but I tend to see that a lot in fated mates type of stories. And at times things tended to jump around a little too much with not a lot of transition from one issue to another. This was a great start to a series with a solid base for many more happy couples (triples? quads? I'm not sure what to call them) in future books. The men needed to have a little more backbone at times. They caved a little too easily to Addie's demands at times and a nice conflict of differing opinions is a great way to show some personality and how the characters think. I hope to learn more about HeVan and what's happened since the queen left. It sounds like a fascinating place.

Francine’s loved Mitchell, a wolf like herself, since she first set
eyes on him back when they were just kids. However, Mitchell’s never seen her as more than another annoying sister. Determined to make him realize she’s all grown up, she enlists the aide of Alejandro, a gorgeous cat shifter. She never counted on wanting them both.

Alejandro knows Francine is special from the first moment he meets the fiery plump wolf, which is why he suggests she use him to make Mitchell jealous. A great plan, especially if it means getting to kiss those luscious lips. One taste though, and he’s addicted, but how does he make her see past the man she loves to realize she’s also meant to be his mate.

For a long time now Mitchell’s been running from Francine, certain she’s mistaken that their destiny’s lie together. However, the little girl he remembers is all grown up, and when he sees her in the arms of another, a need to claim her overrides all his common sense. But, he’s waited too long and fate has decided that he’s going to have to share. Can he bend enough to accept Francine and another man, or will his jealousy keep him freakn’?

Oh, Francine I loved you so much.  Your mouth, your foul language and off-colored jokes had me laughing and enjoying the dialog you shared with everyone.  You were full of energy and I loved that you knew what you wanted and would do everything in your power get it.  Alejandro - you were one sexy cat and I'd adopt you in a heartbeat.  I loved your attitude and willingness to give the wolf you were falling for anything and everything she needed to be happy.  But Mitchell, you naughty pup.  Your jealousy was just a bit too much for me.  It took you far too long to admit how you felt to yourself and even then you were a bit selfish and just didn't want to share.  Shame on you for making her wait for so long and then making her feel bad because she loved you both.

As you can see, the characters are really what captivated me in Jealous and Freakn'.  Francine was amazing - I want to see more of her.  I can see why she would need two men to keep her occupied.  I really loved Alejandro as well, but Mitchell - he just seemed like such a jerk!  He was down right mean to Francine at times and his actions cause a lot of trouble.  I almost wanted him to get let down and not end up with the girl.

In the long run, Eve fixed all her people up quite nicely and I was very happy with the ending - but getting there was a little more rough for me in this one.  I just don't think I like the way jealousy looks on one of the main guys.   We get to have a couple bad guys in this book that you just love to not like.  And Eve dishes out some wonderful poetic justice to them in the end that I loved.

Dre and Landry Breaux do everything together. Fishing, fighting—and loving. A
whole lot of loving. When the blue moon leads these Cajun werewolves to their fated mate, however, they’re ready to reform. Now, they’ll fight to keep the woman of their dreams safe from the evils lurking in the Louisiana bayou—and to tempt her into taking a chance on two of the bayou’s sexiest bad boys.

Mary Jane Johnson is no heartbreaker. Running from a troubled past, the bayou captain wants only to be left alone. When she takes a pair of bayou bad boys on board, however, Dre and Landry have her rethinking her need for space. These two big males have promised to take orders—all of her orders. Suddenly, she’s dreaming of getting as close as possible… to both of the Breaux brothers.
The Breaux pack of wolves have found a mate for one of them, now it's time for a couple more to find their elusive blue moon bride.  Dre and Landry are used to sharing, and they really hope they will get to share a mate as well.  Fate smile on them and grants their wish - but there are several unexpected things that happen along the way.

I really loved Mary Jane and Riley - they were both kick ass, independent women that could handle just about everything.  But when they take on Dre and Landry as extra crew, things get way beyond their control.  Dre and Landry merged into one character for me.  While their differences were constantly mentioned, they just did not maintain their own identities for me.  I still couldn't tell you which one did what in the book.  I enjoy my men standing out from each other, so this was a bit of a let down for me.

The plot was an exciting one.  Lots of fighting in the bayou - a location I haven't read a lot, so I loved seeing something different there.  I had hoped to see a bit more of the other brothers - they didn't make an appearance until the very end.

Warrior vampire Garrick Labar guards the secrets of the Guild. His comrade--vampire and sorcerer Ramon Travere--enforces the uneasy alliance between mortals and immortals. When Larissa Devine moves into town, both Garrick and Ramon are mesmerized and enraptured by her. They crave to claim her as their crimson swan and lover. But a new arrival is fair game and if they don’t claim her first, a band of renegades will.

Larissa finds a blistering-hot ménage with her protectors too intoxicating to resist. The immortals can’t deny their sexual attraction for her and sense her blood pulsing hot and furious when they’re close. Erotic desires thrust her into a world of danger and seduction. When the renegade vampires attempt to destroy a hundred years of peace, Larissa is caught in the crossfire. Eternal love and carnal nights can be her future if she survives.
This was a fun little novella that was easy to read in one sitting.  Larissa is easily lovable, but her two vampires Garrick and Ramon (I kept wanting to call him Roman for some reason) were harder to fall for.  They blurred in my mind too much to get overly attached to either one of them.  I think the author realized this, because part way through she threw in a bunch of historical information about them during a conversation.  But I still had a hard time.

Both Garrick and Ramon were important vampires in their community.  Their society was complicated and may have been better in a longer format. When rebel vampires plot against Garrick and Ramon, they use Larissa as blackmail.  The blackmail plot had a few holes in it and a lot of good things just seemed to happen for no reason to help them out.

This was not a bad story, it was fun and entertaining.  I just expected a bit more from it.

Can one woman handle two dominant men intent on staking their claim?
An Invitation to Eden Release for May! Welcome to Eden, a series from 27 of the biggest names in romance. Fight for Me is a sizzling story from New York Times Bestselling author Sharon Page…

I had to drop out of college to raise my son after his dad, bad boy MMA fighter Ryder King, and I broke up. Ryder is so haunted by demons he won’t let me into his heart. Fame, fortune, and fighting didn’t bring him any peace, and I knew, for the sake of our child, I had to leave him.

That’s when I started seeing Ryder’s best friend, Xavier Malone, a former fighter who built a billion dollar empire. Xavier is powerful and handsome, but also caring and wonderful with my son. We were friends at first and now I’m falling for him—but I’m scared to commit.

Then I receive an invitation to the island of Eden, a luxurious resort where I can live my every sensual fantasy. I’m certain Xavier sent it. But after I leave my son with my mom and fly to Eden, I discover I’m in the middle of a grudge match between Xavier and Ryder. They are going to fight for me: inside the ring in a charity match, and outside it—where they both plan to seduce the pants off me. But I have a surprise for them too.

Fight for Me is also a Yardley College Alumni story. For readers 18 years of age +
Unfortunately, this one got off to a rocky start for me.  The first chapter is titled Xavier - so I assumed it was from his point of view.  It's not.  It's just where we meet him for the first time.  Those of you who are not a fan of love triangles - this is one you should steer clear of as well.  She does pick just one in the end, so the whole book revolves around this love triangle.  Now, the triangles don't bother me all the time and this one was handled much better than most.  Everyone was very in the know about the circumstances, and she didn't try to play one against the other - they did that to themselves.

The storyline of the book was very exciting.  I love the concept of a fantasy island hidden away in the Bermuda Triangle.  I may have to try more from the Invitation to Eden series.  The island offers any type of fantasy you could want - they even have a dungeon.  About half way through we are introduced to the suspense element of the story and I absolutely loved the way it was written.  Drawn out just enough to make keep me reading and never really slowing down or dragging.  The wrap up for everything at the end was just about perfect.

There is some light BDSM play, but nothing very hard core.  It was more about exploring sensations than anything else.  But this is also where the book lost me a little bit again.  Most of the sexual encounters seemed very rushed and didn't always flow well.  The scenes were often set up nicely, but I just didn't pull a lot of passion out of them.

From the New York Times bestselling author of Healer's Choice comes the story of a
woman with the power of touch. Skin doesn't lie to her. It is her gift, sometimes her curse. She feels what others felt, and sees the things held in their memories...

With the touch of her palms to the skin of a crime victim, San Francisco tattoo artist Etaín can see the faces of the guilty and draw them. Changeling elf but unaware of it, at odds with her police captain father and FBI agent brother, magic and gift have put her in the path of two compelling men.

Cathal Dunne, the son of an Irish mob boss, needs Etaín's help finding the rapists who left his cousin for dead. Eamon, a powerful elf lord, is determined to make her his consort-wife.

Her gift once made permanence impossible when it came to a lover. Now, as she approaches the transition to fully Elven, her survival depends on keeping two. One of the men is willing to share her. The other isn't-until the search for a sexual predator turns deadly, and only by paying magic's price will there be any future at all.
Two strong men and one strong woman make for an interesting story - throw in a serial rapist and the mob and it gets even more interesting.  Etain doesn't do relationships - she hasn't since her mysterious "gift" caused problems.  She can see and feel things - things she doesn't always want to see and feel.  But she does the best she can with it, uses it to help others as much as she can.  Etain is so bad ass that she was a bit much.  I wish she had been a little more real.  She was a motor cycle riding, tattoo artist, magic wielding, tough girl that didn't seem to be afraid of much of anything.

Cathal and Eamon are both strong controlling men that don't really like to share.  Somehow Etain manages to have her way with them without making the seem any less masculine.  Their tenderness and care for her made them some amazing leading men.  I liked that one of them struggled for a long time with the idea of sharing her with the other.  But Etain needs them both, for different reasons.

The story unfolds around Etains budding and developing abilities, the search for the Harlequin Rapist, and Cathal's mission to find who is responsible for his counsin's attack.  Three big storyline manage to converge very nicely and wrap around each other very well.  Although at first I thought the Harlequin Rapist was the one Cathal was after as well, but I think that's because I midread something.

There are some fairly dark scenes in this book, especially when dealing with the victims of the rapes.  While there are no very detailed scenes of the attack, the emotional impact and impression is very tangible.  The author handled this very sensitive subject with taste, but with honesty as well.  This book had a definite noir feeling to it.  I pictured the scenes in dark tones with flashes of vibrant colors.  Book two, Inked Destiny, in on the shelf waiting for me.

Review: Marly's Choice by Lora Leigh

Title: Marly's Choice
Author: Lora Leigh
Souce: Self Purchased (Old Amazon Freebie)
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Length: Novel
Release Date: December 2003
Reviewer: Jasmyn

Marly's love for Cade has spanned her teenage years, and survived strong and intact into womanhood.  Her fantasies and daydreams have sustained her, but she's no longer content with nerely imagining the touch of his hands, the taste of his kiss.  It's time to seduce the tough, sexy cowboy.  She's heard the rumors for years, the tales of his sexual preferences.  She's prepared herself to accept his desires.  Prepared her body for his touch.  But she wasn't prepared for the choice to come ... Cade's dark desires, his sexual excessed are based in the past.  In a time when pain, shame, and blood stains his very soul.  He carries a secret shared only with his brothers.  A secret that has scarred the bond, the ability to be a brother or accept the love of the men he was raised with.  He knows the only way to prove his loyalty, his love for those brothers and marly will be the key.  She has a choice.  She can surrender to Cade's needs, his sould deep desires, or she can walk away.  A choice only Marly can make.  A choice that will change her life forever.

Marly's choice has a great premise.  Marly has grown up with three brothers (older than she is), and as she grew up she developed a huge crush on the oldest, Cade, which later turned into a deep love.  The problem with this scenario, is that Cade still refers to her as his "niece" even though he is very very sexually attracted to her and is quickly falling in love as well.  While they aren't actually related, the references to the "family relationship" at the beginning kind of rubbed me the wrong way.  You can't try to think of someone you want to have sex with as your niece - it's just creepy.

After we get over that, we run into problems with the force Cade tends to use, and that he doesn't take no for an answer.  Not that he rapes her by any means, but one scene in particular comes a little too close for comfort.

On the other hand, the story behind the scenes was really really good.  Marly has a stalker and he will do anything to get his hands on her.  He is a constant presence in the background of the entire story and takes center stage a little more than half way through.  Watching the family rally behind Marly was great and really showed how much the loved her.
