After a ravaging war, Bethany and her family are forced to flee to Envado. There, women are safe from the oppressive rule of male owners. When her pursuers draw too close, Bethany stays behind to buy her sisters time to escape and she's captured.

She's turned over to a depraver who tarnishes her. Now bald, branded, and barren, she's worth less than the shadow she casts. From this lowly place she leads the tarnished to overthrow the Grand Chancellor--the man behind Chardonia's oppressive rules against women and the tarnished. If they fail to defeat him and his supporters, all will be lost.
The final book in the story of Chardonia is a sad one. Bethany has been captured, tarnished, and finds herself in a very very very very (I can't say enough very's here) bad place. But she's also in a good place to try and help the resistance from within the heart of Chardonia. But a lot of lives will be placed on the line because of it.

Unfoturnately, the editing errors in this one were really bad. There were times I think she mixed up the two countris of Chardonia and Envado, because otherwise parts just wouldn't make sense. The ending was also a little off. It seemed to just "poof" wrap up with a nice bow. Yes, there was a lot leading up to it, but once we got to the top, it just all dropped off really fast.

I really enjoyed this series. It leans more towards a fantasy than a romance, but each story had a nice little romance that weaves through it and really made a different set of characters stand out in a nice way.

Waverly resents being sent home to Evando just as things are getting intense in Chardonia. She can't just sit in safety while her friends suffer under oppression and restrictions simply because they are women.

Upon returning to Chardonia, she discovers conditions have degraded faster than she thought possible, and her mere presence puts her loved ones in grave danger. When the Grand Chancellor calls for a change in laws that threatens the lives of her friends, her family, and anyone who doesn't comply, her only option is to run, with both friend and foe.

As the stakes grow higher with each passing day, Waverly must become the leader she's never been, or her life, and the lives of all those she cares for, will be lost.
This series takes a very dark turn in Mine to Fear. Things are not going well, and I'll warn you, the story arc does not end well. We do have a fairly decent HEA for the romance side, but the realm Chardonia is in chaos and it only gets worse.

The people of Envado are trying desperately to change things, and they are losing the battle. The Grand Chancellor is taking the country in hand by making drastic and severe changes that puts the lives of many at risk. It's scary, very scary, and you don't see much light at the end of the tunnel.

Waverly finds herself caught up in the war as she tries to free her friends from the tyranny of the Grand Chancellor and his friends that are determined to keep women and magic under the control of a very select male population. There's a lot to  read between the lines here, and it was done very well.

My biggest complaint, and Mine to Fear may have gotten 5 stars without this, is the editing. There were some areas that were quite poorly done and it really did take away from my ability to just read the story. But it is one hell of a story.

For once, mated werewolves Charles and Anna are not traveling because of Charles’s role as his father’s enforcer. This time, their trip to Arizona is purely personal, as Charles plans to buy Anna a horse for her birthday. Or at least it starts out that way...

Charles and Anna soon discover that a dangerous Fae being is on the loose, replacing human children with simulacrums. The Fae’s cold war with humanity is about to heat up—and Charles and Anna are in the cross fire.

I have followed Charles and Anna from the beginning. The couple just needed a break. But if they got a break, we wouldn't have an action packed story to read now would we?

This Alpha and Omega did take me some time to get into. Once I was able to fall into the story I was happy to see that the couple hadn't changed but evolved. I love seeing the couple connect on a higher level. The story had a few new twists as well. There was a lot of action and it was fast paced. I had to re-read several times to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Genre: Paranormal Romance Fantasy
Length: 152 pages Paperback

**I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest**

Veronica Armatti, a hairdresser and infatuation addict, has managed to strike the perfect balance between her daily existence and her overpowering desires. Veronica's husband, Joe, tolerates her addiction as long as he doesn't know the details. Veronica decides to get her latest fix with Andrew, an artist she meets at a grocery store. Andrew inducts Veronica into a mysterious and hypnotic dream world, where the powerful Devan entices her into his tribe of shape shifters, and where dreams and reality mingle in a deadly, intricate dance of survival.

I'll start off by saying that I love the cover of this book, it actually flows very well with the storyline. Sometimes I see covers that don't really capture the story, or I feel like the cover doesn't "match" the story per se. But the cover of Dream is perfect! The author created an amazing world, I thought it was a very interesting read and totally cool and a bit twisted but in a beautiful dream like way.  I liked it and disliked it at the same time, actually the only thing I disliked about it was Devan. He was a bit sneaky and I didn't vibe very well with him. But the ending was so awesome, I loved it. At first I thought I was lost, maybe I missed something, but then it all comes to light and I was like YES! So totally awesome, twisted and very cool ending.
Veronica has what she calls an addiction for extra marital affairs, her husband Joe is ok with it, as long as he isn't told about it. But she does it because she feels that she is missing something, she thinks she's finding it with some side nookie. Then she meets Andrew, a dream walker, who takes her into a world that she falls in love with and thinks she's has finally found the missing piece to her soul.  Veronica is fascinated by the dream world, it calls to her, and Andrew isn't so sure they should go back in. But she doesn't care, she goes back in and  that's when things get kind of crazy, but in such a good way.
Awesome read, I highly recommend it!

Review Destiny's Flower by Linda Harley

Title: Destiny's Flower (Saldiora, #1)
Author: Linda Harley
Source: Author
Genre: Science Fiction/Fantasy
Length: Novel (312 pgs)
Reviewed by CaroleDee

Doctor Lynn Davis is kidnapped by handsome Lord Kyle von Talion and taken to a far off planet, Saldiora. As she finds herself in this unfamiliar culture, she must learn to fight with a sword, ride a talking horse, and endure the politics of a royal court if she is to survive.

Kyle has his hands full keeping Lynn from making cultural blunders and ensuring her safety. The Juntu's are plotting to take over Saldiora and consider Lynn to be a threat to their success.

Will Lynn live long enough to fulfill her destiny and save the kingdom of Saldiora?

Alright, Sci-Fi and Fantasy lovers out there have I got a treat for you. Destiny's Flower is like the love child of Star Trek and Game of Thrones.  Sounds like an odd mix, right? Well, it works and I couldn't seem to put it down! (Definitely a family starver. You know, one of those books that you can't seem to get away from, even to make dinner! Thank goodness my husband indulges my book obsession ;)

What starts off as a normal day for Lynn Davis quickly turns into an episode from the Twilight Zone. She's lecturing her class when two men (who she assumes are government types) bust in and start questioning her identity. Before she knows it she finds herself on a spaceship, training for a competition that hasn't even been explained to her. Talk about a crazy week!

Soon she finds herself on the planet of  Saldiora. (This is where we go from Star Trek to medieval times with a technologically advanced twist.) Lynn learns to train in sword combat, horse riding, and aristocracy traditions all so she win the competition (along with it the hand of the Prince) she has unknowingly been prophesied to win.

Sound like a wild ride? Well, I haven't even mentioned that there's a radical faction of Saldorians (The Jutus) that will stop at nothing to ensure Lynn never becomes queen!

The romance is light in this installment of the Saldiora series, but there is tons of action, adventure, and character development. For unforgettable characters and a wild be sure to check out Destiny's Flower. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Because Destiny's Flower ends on, somewhat of, a cliffhanger, I had a mini Q and A with the author to get a few answers.

Any ideas on a release date of the second book in the Saldiora saga?
It is currently in the draft stages, and my goal is to have it published around the December time frame.

Do you know yet how many books you plan on the series being? Will future books revolve only around Lynn's adventures?
These two questions really go together.  I've got 3 books planned for Lynn's story which will make up the Saldiora series. They will all focus on Lynn.

If you look at my website, there is also the Nuelda series, which plays of decades before the Saldiora series, and focuses on a girl called Anna McKlendle.  Lynn actually meets her in Book 2 of Saldiora series.  The Nuelda series will be an ongoing series of short stories, and I've got several season planned, and may one day compile it into one book.  For now it is meant to be something that all my fans across the world can enjoy for free.

There are a few other stories I have in mind that are begging to be told, but like any artist I'm struggling between keeping back to the same world or the excitement of trying my hand on something completely new.  But for the moment I can push those tendencies aside as I focus on getting Saldiora done.

And this might seem like an odd one, but will there be any love scenes in future installments?
If by love scenes you mean sex, than absolutely not, there will be nothing graphical or erotic and in fact not even suggestions of sex.  The reason being, I'm writing this book for all ages. I want my 10 year old niece and my 73 year old mom to enjoy the book without having to blush. So, my stories will always be "g" rated. However, there will be some hand holding, a little bit of kissing, hugging, and a lot of falling in and out of love occurring.

Thanks to Linda Harley for indulging my curiosity. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Thrones of Desire: Erotic Tales of Swords, Mist and Fire
Thrones of Desire is a place where lust and legend abound, and adventure, passion and danger entwine.
Think mystical lands and creatures, kings and queens, knights and renegades, heroes and villains, warlords, maidens and princesses.

Think battles and danger, honor and dishonor, good and evil. Most of all, think hearts filled with passion and secret desire.

This is a place where romantic chivalry is alive and well, but so too is romantic wickedness. This is a place where the good do not always win, and the bad are often more captivating and desirable than their altruistic counterparts. In these lush and timeless landscapes, the battle for flesh can be as important as the battle for power. Intrigue, sorcery, revenge, lawlessness, dark secrets and mysterious elixirs; entanglements with supernatural beings — everything is possible in these magical mythical landscapes. Inspired by Game of Thrones these imaginative steamy tales transport the reader to fantastical realms.

Genetically engineered for a single function, to breed, Camille has followed the rules and accepted the Goddess’s will as explained by the elders all her life. After artificial insemination fails, she gathers her courage, traveling to distant New Eden to try in-person breeding. When her matches fail to appear, the meek little breeder rebels, determined to leave the Goddess-forsaken world behind her as fast as the next ship home can make the jump to subspace.

Aegis exists only to fulfill his vow to avenge the death of his parents by a Baldorean blood mage. Not even the forbidden desire for Jaxon interferes with his quest. But contact with a breeder threatens everything he holds sacred.

For four years, Jaxon dreamed of tri-bond with Aegis. Isolated by hostilities in the endless war with Baldor, he’s trapped in the close quarters of their fighter with Aegis and Cami, his most secret dream come true. But instead of bliss, he finds himself plunged into a battle with prejudice, doubts, and jealousy.

Cami travels halfway across the universe, survives brutal rejection, humiliation and a firefight. Stranded with two fierce warriors, not even a broken heart will make her quit until she has the sperm she needs.

Fantastic Read! HOT!

Wow, all my favorite genre characteristics combined in one book. I loved the combination of a paranormal read in a sci-fi world (futuristic) that includes the fantasy of mages/wizard magic and powerful gifts. To top it off, the m/m and m/m/f erotica scenes made the story one HOT read. The book was a fast read and flowed perfectly with all the action going on between fighting their enemies and finding time for their destined mates.

Cami (human breeder), Jaxon (Human Soldier), and Aegis (Tethysian water demon) characters were extraordinary with their own individual back grounds and how they came about to the situation of becoming mates. Cami seemed to be a little naïve in the beginning and then all of a sudden she was one tough kick ass chick (totally loved it).

Jaxon was definitely the macho type and wanted to impress his mates by wanting to be the hero. His feelings were a little insecure between desire, jealousy, and protectiveness.

Finally, Aegis was one hot green demon who kept himself cloaked in a human disguise most of the time until he revealed himself to his two mates. He held a powerful demeanor of control in all situations especially when it came to claiming his mates. He controlled all the sexual actions and the mind melding’s of each mate.

Great Read! I wanted more and I will definitely be reading more of this author’s work.

Awesome Fantasy Romance!

Magic is in play in this awesome story. A Mage (wizard), a woman to love, a goddess to please, a dragon and a big wild cat fighting over a virgin brings this story to a climax that is unexpected. Tor the Mage (Wizard) who happens to be High Priest and Azari’s (woman) fate has been intertwined as they learn they are made to be each other’s mate and future.

The adventure begins as Tor takes Azari’s virginity and protects her as best he can from the mythical creatures. The story between the Dragon and the Wild Cat unfolds the truth to the long told myth and filled with action as Tor and Azari make their run to safety.

The romance and erotica scene is pretty steamy. I loved Azari’s character for I could totally relate to her attitude of independence and wanting to have equality and her choice of free will of her own choices. Tor’s character was a strong Alpha type of male that is used to giving the orders and I found him more likable once he started seeing Azari’s point. The story ends with new beginnings and an HEA that will have you smiling in the end.

EXCELLENT FAIRY TALE COME TRUE!

After reading the first chapter I wanted more so I bought the book and am so glad I did. The romance between Rordan and Aran was pretty steamy and so sweet and innocent. Rordan always said the right words when whispering into Aran’s ear, it literally made me melt especially when he says stuff like this –

"Aran, if I have only one moment of my life, one day to remember, I want it to be with you."

When a man like Rordan is described as a mountain on two legs and sexy as hell as well as given to Aran in a small box, Aran doesn’t know what to do with him. All I can say is - I need to have a little talk with her – LOL. No for real, Aran is such a good witch and is so caring and full of passion towards other beings that she makes it her destiny to free Rordan from the wicked spell that has entrapped him in this box for an eternity to only serve the master who owns the box and opens it.

This is a must read just to live through the journey going through the parallel time period into the world of Eglandor where Fairies and human live side by side and magic is alive at its best. Witness the power Aran yields against the wicked sorceress and how she helps put her man Rordan on the throne. This was a very short 129 pages and was a very enjoyable read.
