It was one last mission. Shannon, a demon hunter with the agency, is looking forward to leaving behind the small town and the vampire she’s been stuck with for the past two years. Things are getting complicated fast and she wants out. A fresh start, free of her vampire partner, awaits her if she can survive their final mission and the lonely Christmas holidays.
It was one last mission. Rafe, a vampire doing time with the agency, watches it approach with dread weighing heavily in his stomach. Two years of working with Shannon has been difficult, especially since he started falling for her, but he doesn’t want their partnership to end. He has barely a few days to make her face her feelings and stop her from leaving, and he intends to do just that.
When a slimy demon threatens the season of peace and goodwill, it’s the chance Rafe has been waiting for and the moment Shannon secretly fears. Rafe’s determination to prise open her heart and her own resolve to keep it closed clash as violently as they do with the demon, and threatens to end as messily.
Can Rafe make Shannon see that his love for her is real and that she feels something for him too? Can Shannon face her fears and her past, and stop herself from running away from both? Will a wish on a star bring her what her heart truly desires—a vampire for Christmas?

Very satisfying short holiday novella, I really enjoyed ever minute of it. This is going to be a short review because the book description says enough already, so I wont be going to spoil any detail of the story. I enjoyed reading the story and both Rafe and Shannon as characters. There is more story then sex, but once you get to the sex its hot. You’ll also find a hot shower scene. I would suggest this book to anyone that reads paranormal romance or erotic romance.

My Husband, the Zombie
Everybody has secrets. In my latest novel, True Believers, the hero, Taelen Jessit is keeping a dangerous one. He can see his 'gods' in their ethereal state. Ordinarily that would be a pretty sweet deal, except for the fact that men with such a gift are summarily castrated. (Talk about a rough health care system.)
My heroine has a secret too. She's a near-immortal, a Nephilim who would be exterminated on sight if anyone knew of her existence.
Even Bubba, the Artificial Intelligence (which Ronda seemed to love) is keeping a secret. He's not just a super smart computer. Bubba has become sentient, and is beginning to understand the concept of free will. Can you imagine a computer with free will running our defense systems?
True Believers is a story full of secrets. I've discovered to my horror that life indeed imitates fiction. My very own husband had been holding out on me. I was stunned and a little nervous when Greg made his wicked confession.
Was it another woman? A secret bank account? A criminal record?
Ha! Nothing so mundane.
He wants to be a Zombie.
I thought he was kidding at first. But the clues were in front of me the whole time.
• His routine is mind-numbingly dull. Get up. Shower. Go to work. Eat. Sleep. (Sound familiar?) If that's not Zombie behavior, I don't know what is.
• He craves meat. Okay, so it's not human flesh. But I got a little worried once while he watched me get undressed. I swear that was the same look he wore when he eyed the pot roast I pulled out of the oven. Coincidence? I don't know.
• Lack of communication skills. He grunts a lot. What's worse is that I am beginning to understand his vocabulary of grunts.
• The Zombie Shuffle. Well, he limps. Does that count?
Being a good wife, I listened patiently (while I polished the shotgun) as he explained why he wanted to be a Zombie.
"For the TV show", he says. "The Walking Dead. There's a contest where you can win a walk-on role in The Walking Dead."
"You want to be on TV?"
"Sure! That would be so cool."
I breathed a sigh of relief knowing I wasn't going to find my brain half eaten on any given morning. But it was far worse than I thought. Greg didn't want to be a real Zombie. He wants to be an actor.
Hmm…now where the heck did I put that shotgun?
Your turn: Have you ever had a super secret desire to do something crazy? Should I be worried about Greg? I'll admit, I think he has the chops to be a great Zombie. He even comes with his very own Zombie Dog.

Mix one cynical immortal and one true believer and throw them into the biggest alien-hunt the world has never known. Rachel Cruz is a Nephilim masquerading as an archeologist and she's stuck with an alien who believes she can lead him to his ancestral gods. Black Ops wants to find these gods too. Something is killing off immortals, one by one.
Taelen Jessit is an alien emissary on a mission sanctioned by the U.S. government to search for ancient gods. His hunt leads him to a dig headed by archaeologist Rachel Cruz. When his military entourage forces Rachel's team out of the cave they were exploring, a flash flood hits the riverbed and threatens to tear them through the ravine.
In the aftermath of the flood, Taelen witnesses the incredible healing of Rachel's broken ankle and believes his gods have blessed her. He is inexplicably drawn to her, and she to him.
What Taelen doesn't know is that Rachel is Nephilim—a descendant of the gods his people worship—masquerading as a human to find the god-killer and destroy it. Rachel needs help to bring down the tech that is manipulating the Earth's magnetosphere and frying her people alive. She's given Taelen her heart, but can she trust him with her secret?
REVIEW:
SEXUAL:
Phenomenal Writing! Excellent Read!
On the edge of your seat action packed story with a sweep you off your feet sweet sexy Alien “Alturian” and Nephilim romance.
I applaud Maria Zannini, she has captured a world where not only humans but extraterrestrial creatures such as the aliens called Alturian’s co-exist.
The Alturian’s come to earth to search for their gods Anu (Nephilim) or any of their children. The humans seem to be searching for the same extraterrestrial creatures but for different reasons than their peace making friends the Alturian’s. The Alturian’s want to find the gods to worship them and honor them but the humans want to destroy them or any other extraterrestrial that may be a threat to their planet.
The Nephilim’s have existed upon earth without the humans knowing and have kept it a secret for many a decade.
For those of you who don’t know what Nephilim’s are, they are a race of extraterrestrials who came to be worshipped by men as gods due to their immortality and extraordinary powers and they are also known as the sons of god whom we call Fallen Angels who slept with the daughters of men that are known in the Christian bible as Giants.
Rachel (Archeologist/Nephilim) and her father Gilgamesh strive to keep their secret from being exposed and find out why many of their kind are falling ill from the Earth's magnetosphere. However Gilgamesh enjoys the fact that the Alturians are still true believers and enjoys the fact that they think his kind are gods and with this thinking, Gilgamesh recognizes that the only way to accomplish his goal is by joining forces with Taelen Jessit (Alien Alturian).
Rachel and Taelen’s romance is so sweet and sexy. The sex scenes are very tasteful, not your hard core erotica but leaves you with one hell of an image to think about especially with Taelen’s extra tentacles he has around his large staff. The one scene in the bath pool about drove me crazy. Absolutely loved it!
I loved the action between the new Artificial Intelligence Bubba (computer program technology come to life) and his sister FAIA (newer model computer technology with updated programs). To weave the web based world and its advanced military programming within this story was pure brilliance.
All the characters were wonderfully developed and the book flowed beautifully. I was so entranced and felt like I was there living it all in color.

Bio:
My novels are light-hearted fantasy, heart squeezing, thigh-clenching romance, and even give a good chuckle every now and again. My journey as a writer began as a way to keep my brain alive since being a stay at home mom can be a little let's say―numbing. It was an escape from screaming kids, dirty diapers and plain old mom duty. It started as a hobby, but as the stories progressed it became a passion. Now, I indulge at nap time, especially the juicy bits! Every mom needs a good thrill!
Blurb of An Everlasting Bite:
With only weeks to adjust to her new fur, Rynn, follows Briggs while he assists in locating the daughter of the Montana's Alpha, who was abducted from her home. But this journey is not without danger. And soon, they discover the ones who have taken this young wolf do not want her found and will stop at nothing to keep her hidden. Or so it may seem, as bodies begin to drop around them, the murderous attempts start to appear more as a hit than a smoke screen--leaving only one question, who is the intended target…

Nexi is back again in high fighting action, along beside her is Kyden and her cat protector Willow. There is a few things happening almost back to back, but the author knows how to write, so its not confusing. I was so into reading this installment I had a hard time putting it down, so I could get things in my real life done lets just say I done things quickly so I could get back to reading.
I loved the first of the book where Nexi is helping a woman Rynn that has been wrongly turned into a wolf. I also cant wait for the spin off book of Briggs and Rynn. There is so much packed in this book there is no way I could cover it. If you’re a reader of this series please don’t miss this installment and if you haven’t tried this series please check it out.
I really enjoyed this book. Nexi is always in the middle of the action and has some awesome friends that is always in the middle to help out. This time around she finds out there is something more between Magnus and her and its not good ,she has to find a way to get rid of Magnus. Kyden goes all out to keep Nexi at his side. That’s one reason I like Kyden so well.
The author always leaves a HEA in the closing even though Kyden and Nexi has a few obstacles that comes up between them. I recommend this to any UF reader that would like romance and a little sex in their books and for the paranormal reader that wants a little UF in their romance.

Paranormal Romance / Fantasy
Life has been calm and quiet for Aran for almost seven years since moving into Banter. She is a prosperous business owner, has friends, and helps those in need without question. Yet a delivery of a mysterious jewel encrusted box changes all of that for her in an instant.
Not only is the mysterious box enchanted, revealing someone knows of her deepest secrets, it imprisons a man unlike any other. Bold, fearsome, strong. A warrior from a place she's never heard of, a land she's never known. And the most glaring fact to his arrival is she is the only one with the knowledge to set him free, with a magic he cannot trust.
Rordan must return to the kingdom of Eglandor to stop the wicked sorceress who has imprisoned him, deliver the throne to King Tah-lel's appointed heir, and fulfill his destiny with the woman from another time, another world. And there's only so much time to do it all with the King's health failing and an uprising from within only waiting for the moment to claim the throne.

EXCELLENT FAIRY TALE COME TRUE!
After reading the first chapter I wanted more so I bought the book and am so glad I did. The romance between Rordan and Aran was pretty steamy and so sweet and innocent. Rordan always said the right words when whispering into Aran’s ear, it literally made me melt especially when he says stuff like this –
"Aran, if I have only one moment of my life, one day to remember, I want it to be with you."
When a man like Rordan is described as a mountain on two legs and sexy as hell as well as given to Aran in a small box, Aran doesn’t know what to do with him. All I can say is - I need to have a little talk with her – LOL. No for real, Aran is such a good witch and is so caring and full of passion towards other beings that she makes it her destiny to free Rordan from the wicked spell that has entrapped him in this box for an eternity to only serve the master who owns the box and opens it.
This is a must read just to live through the journey going through the parallel time period into the world of Eglandor where Fairies and human live side by side and magic is alive at its best. Witness the power Aran yields against the wicked sorceress and how she helps put her man Rordan on the throne. This was a very short 129 pages and was a very enjoyable read.

Defined by magic. Ruled by desire.
In the Court of Edaeii, magic-imbued Evangeline is rewarded for her gift with a sapphire stone set in the perfect curves of her flesh. Her greatest rival in the royal court is the enigmatic Anatol, instilled with his own powers to manipulate illusion. He may better her in magic, but he is her absolute equal in a ferocious sexual energy begging for release.
They share something else—they’re both targets of low-born revolutionaries bent on over-throwing the palace of the privileged few. Rescued from the mobs by Gregorio, a brilliant insurgent, they’re given sanctuary. But in this warm refuge, Evangeline soon finds herself torn between the magic of one man she has always desired, and the excitingly new and radical moves of another. For her, there is only one choice.
Evangeline, Anatol and Gregorio come together as one to explore the possibilities of love beyond reason, and to indulge—for as long as they can survive—in pleasure without limits.

Anya Bast delivers a superb heartfelt story. I truly didn’t expect this erotica to be so emotional. It took me a bit to really get into this story but as I kept reading the more I was engrossed into the story, I just had to find out what really happened in Evangeline’s past that had her to put walls up on her emotions. You get hot M/F/M sex with back door. There is mention of same gender sex, but it never goes into anything. This is not a quick setup manage, it takes a while for these three to get together.
Evangeline and Anatol knows each other from afar. Anatol has loved Evangeline for years just hasn’t told her. As the revolution starts he grabs Evangeline to save her and himself from sudden death that happens to most of the royals. This is where the book makes you think about your life and these two have had it on easy street until now they are on there own with no money or a place to live. They meet a lady and she helps them to a point, now its up to them. Evangeline has to try to handle her emotions now that she can’t manipulate them and now she sees she once had everything now nothing just the rags she has on her. She also feels something for Anatol, she just doesn’t know how to respond to it.
Anatol has known Evangeline for a long while and knows she has went though life without emotions, now he has to let her learn and hope she will start having feelings for him at some point. When they both meet Gregorio its not the best of times, he has to help keep Anatol from being beheaded. When Gregorio has them to move in with him that’s when things start to heat up.
Just when you think Evangeline will start to give over to love, something happens and she wants to shut down again. This book has both a story and great sex so you don’t just get more than one. I suggest this to erotica lovers and paranormal romance lovers, there is use of magick.

Laurie-What is the hardest thing you found in starting your blog?
Kirsten-I found it really hard to be unique. I found myself trying to write what I thought other people
want to read.I was writing for everyone else except for myself in the beginning.
Laurie-If you can give one piece of advice to a new book blogger what would it be?
Kirsten-I would advise any new blogger to not worry about your amount of followers. I found myself doing that. I also would advise a new blogger to write what you are comfortable writing. Do not try to please people. Write because you want to write it. People will enjoy your blog more once you make it yours.
Thanks again Kirsten!

Annelie fell for Lukas the moment he walked into her pub three years ago. He’s stunning, his vivid green eyes lending to his otherworldly beauty, but he’s seriously out of her league. When he tells her that she’s beautiful and confesses that he wants her, she can’t resist him and his passionate kiss. She unleashes her desire and seizes the moment and Lukas with both hands. But Lukas has a secret, one that will test Annelie’s love for him and threaten to tear them apart.
He’s an angel.
Annelie can’t believe it when Lukas says that their feelings for each other aren’t a sin, but she can believe his pain when he tells her the reason he’s on Earth. He is fallen, cast out of Heaven as punishment for a crime he didn’t commit. Lukas isn’t about to give up and accept his fate though. He’s determined to prove both his innocence and his love for Annelie, and to show her that the intense passion they share is real.
When Lukas and Apollyon discover who framed him, will he be able to stop them from going after Serenity and Annelie? Will he be able to protect the woman he loves and fly away with her into their forever after?
ALL OF THE STORIES IN THE HER ANGEL SERIES STAND ALONE, JOINED BY CHARACTER AND WORLD ONLY, AND DO NOT NEED TO BE READ IN ORDER.

WOW! This is one HOT EROTICA! Fantastic!
Annelie is just a simple human who runs a pub and has secretly fantasized about what it would be like to be with Lukas for the last three years. She never dreamed it would become reality until one evening he comes in and finally has a drink too much and practically almost falls asleep sitting on the bar stool.
Worried, Annelie stops her routine of serving drinks and tends to Lukas by offering to drive him home after she closes. A kiss in the parking lot gets things heated up and when they finally get to his apartment, not even a cold shower can cool you down from this erotic scene. These angels have lots of stamina to full fill your minds sexual hunger.
Lukas is considered a fallen angel in our human eyes but not by his choosing. Lukas has been framed/set up for a crime he did not commit and some of his powers have been taken away from him and strict rules have been set upon him like no flying. He still has his wings but it is torment to him because he is not allowed to fly.
This is a must read story. The adventure Lukas and Annelie go on to prove his innocence and gain back his status is absolutely powerful and exciting. I applaud Felicity E. Heaton for her brilliance of creating this world where Angels and humans can fall in love and because of that love can get through any trial.
I look forward to reading the next book "Her Warrior Angel" due out November 2010.

An angel without a mission, Apollyon lives trapped in Hell guarding the bottomless pit. Surrounded by endless darkness, he longs to fly free on Earth once more but his master hasn’t called him in centuries. When the call finally comes, it’s to serve a new master, a beautiful woman he has often watched over, a woman who has always captivated him.
Serenity is shocked when a gorgeous black-winged angel shows up in her city of Paris claiming that she called him when she was only casting a simple vengeance spell. He’s no other than the angel of death! When Apollyon offers to obey her and help her have revenge on her cheating ex-boyfriend, she can’t resist the temptation, but can she resist him? Can an angel as dark as Apollyon ever fall for a mortal woman like her?
Their charade as lovers quickly becomes reality when one dance leads to another and Apollyon proves that he’s as sinful as he looks. His sensual and hungry touch brings Serenity back to life, freeing her from the hurt of being betrayed and reigniting her passion, but she can’t ignore her growing fear. Lost in their moment together, Apollyon realises that there is a reason he heard her call—he’s in love with her.
But will Serenity see past the wings and believe that Apollyon returns her feelings and won’t hurt her? When her ex-boyfriend asks her to forgive him and be with him again, will she take the easy route or will she find the courage to fly away with her dark angel?
Dark, passionate and erotic, Her Dark Angel is a tale of intense desire and deepest forbidden love guaranteed to get your heart racing.

HOT! HOT! HOT EROTICA!
This book was fantastic and the erotica romance between Apollyon and Serenity was pure "HEAVENLY and HOT HOT HOT!!!"
The story was amazing and I couldn't resist reading about Appollyon, "the great destroyer...Angel of Apocalypse, responsible for raining Hell down on earth when everything comes to an end", an Angel built with a body of a God and for sin with the smile of a devil. Appollyon is definitely my kind of Angel.
Serenity is a human witch who only does good with her magic but when she is pushed aside, dumped, and her heart is aching from the hurt by her boy friend, Serenity finally gives in and cast a spell for revenge.
Appollyon the angel from Hell has always had his eye on her but for some reason he hears her call and goes to her to do her bidding for revenge. However, both of them had the slightest clue that this simple revenge would draw their love towards each other.
A must read story to find out the revenge Serenity's boyfriend has reigned upon him and what happens between Serenity and Appollyon as the story heats up. Absolutely great ending.

I found this a good erotic read and I did enjoy it. It has a lot of emotions and action. I really enjoyed the storyline and the way the author takes these two though their predicament. I try my best not to give spoilers in my reviews, but I need to worn you this one will have them, so if you don’t want SPOLIERS please stop reading. Sorry it’s the only way I can explain the 3 stars
I loved the heroine Jasmine she is very strong and willing to do anything, but let this vampire execute her. She knows she was not turned by a vampire because she hasn’t even had sex a long while so she knows no one has taken blood or added blood to her. One day after she ends up very sick and leaves work then at home she becomes very horny, so horny she will let a stranger ease her. Then she finds out he is sent to kill her when she is fully turned vampire, needless to say this wasn’t her day or week.
Now what I didn’t really like was the hero Corin. I cant really pin point it yet, I think it was because he just doesn’t really try to love Jasmine. I will say he has went through a lot in his past and maybe that has to do with it. I just didn’t feel like he was the right hero for Jasmine. Now for big spoiler. He has a gay mate already even though they arent still together (you have to read to find out why.)This is one reason I rated it 3 instead of 4 stars. I like to know before I get into a book where there is mention and or any m/m in it. No it doesn’t go into the whole sex part scene, but it does quite a bit. You see Corin was raped and made to be with this male mate and he still is when he mates with Jasmine I just couldn’t rap my mind around this and didn’t like it. I know some of you will. Needless to say this is not a happy story its very emotional.

FEAR IS IN THE BLOOD
Alexander Roman wants nothing to do with the controlling rulers of his vampire breed or the family he escaped from a hundred years ago. But as a new threat to the pureblood vampires emerges, Alexander's ties to the past are forced upon him again, and without warning, he finds himself - disoriented, terrified, and near death - at the door of a stranger.
TRUST IS A RISK
Dr. Sarah Donohue is dedicated to removing the traumatic memories of her patients - like those of the stranger at her front door. But what he tells her of his past is too astonishing to be anything more than the delusion of a madman. Yet she has seen his flesh scarred by the sun and witnessed his inhuman strength. And never more has she felt so connected to a man, by both fear and seductive excitement

I was very disappointed with this one. I wish I would have kept my receipt to use my money back guarantee. I love to read romance and paranormal is my favorite, I never read a romance in this story. I never connected with either Sara or Alexander, I never found the depth of their story either. There is sex scenes, I just couldn’t get into them for one Sara always gets into the sex but Alexander, he just doesn’t want a mate and he doesn’t want her, a few times he wont go all the way with her, so she was left with questions as why wont he go all the way with me. To tell you the truth I was saying to Sara “Forget the lug and leave!” Needless to say it just wasn’t hot for me.
I didn’t get a good feel of the story or characters and what’s up with Gray I mean stick someone in the whole book. but you never read him as in him talking or doing anything just staring and not talking, I didn’t get it.
There is a lot of words in the book that had me saying “I need a glossary!!” But nope it not there, so you never get to know what they are saying. I also found this to be cross between other vampire series with just some twist to the story. I would suggest to anyone if you buy this keep your receipt for the money back guarantee that way you can take it back if you don’t like it.
There is a scene of f/f kissing.

This book is brilliant, thrilling and hot. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough, I had to find out who was behind it all and why. I loved the way the author brings everything together it leaves you satisfied. This is an historical with a touch of paranormal. There is a nice happy ever after, but there is so much more to the story and I cant wait for the next book to read more about this adventure. You get a hot sexual tension, romance, mystery, excitement, and great characters, even the villains and non stop adventure once it starts.
I am not going to spoil much because this is such a great book you need to try it yourself. Ella’s different, she has a special gift that no one knows, her parents died while she was young. Now she has been hired to help refine Leo. The thing is Leo doesn’t want to be refined, he wants to find out who killed his parents.
Leo is damaged after living in the jungle of India at such a young age for so long. He still wants to catch his parents killer and now he has to deal with a woman that turns him on in ways he doesn’t want. How is he going to get through this with out compromising her innocence.
The paranormal part is Ella special gift even though it a focus part of the book it’s a part that sometimes you don’t even relies its there.
I loved both Leo and Ella. They both fit so well together and are destined to be together. I suggest this book to anyone who loves historical and paranormal romance.

My name is Katrina Rawlings, and I am a vampire. I declare that with neither pride nor ego. I am simply nature’s most dangerous predator. On occasion, it’s a very valuable quality. It helped me protect Caleb Taylor one day when he was very young. But that single, traumatic day is behind him now; wiped from his memory, or so I hope.
Caleb has finally matured into a rather striking young man, and believe me, I like what I see. I’ll readily admit that there are issues for us to confront and overcome, though a sense of mutual commitment isn’t one of them. I’m feeling hopeful for our future together, in fact. But an adversary from my past has returned to haunt me, and she’s trying to get back at me through Caleb. That was her first...and last...mistake. I’ll protect my Caleb at all costs, and I’ll make her regret the day she was born.
So, I suppose that I’m not just a vampire. I’m about to become someone’s worst nightmare!

Mention of Kissing
Here is a different twist, the female is the vampire in the dominant lead and the male is the human as submissive partner. I found it lacking in action, the romance is there, but its more like Katrina is a mother hen that wants to protect Caleb from everything. Caleb is very submissive and as most of you know I don’t like a heroine to roll over and do what she is told to do, I like a little tension added. I liked some aspects of the story, but I found Katrina a very bland vampire with not a lot of special abilities. I did like how Katrina is up front with Caleb about her being a vampire and she gives him a set of rules to follow. There is romance with just the mention of kissing, so I can see this very easy being a great book for a YA. This is a urban fantasy series. I felt Jaz does a good job in writing both Katrina and Caleb and her friends. I can see this series growing more over the next few books. I suggest this to anyone who likes an alpha female and to YA readers.
