Charismatic and powerful Lyceum Wolves' Alpha, Tristan Livingston, is out for revenge after a devastating attack on his pack. Not only did he survive a building collapse, he orchestrated the rebuild of his chic, state-of-the-art nightclub within a week. Determined to mete out justice, he rescues a beautiful witness who may be the key to helping him find the perpetrators.

Dr. Kalli Williams, dedicated veterinarian, is hiding a secret that endangers not only her own life but the lives of wolves across the country. After being tortured by a savage vampire, she's reluctantly agrees to help the sexy Alpha in his quest to identify suspects; ones who'd kill her on the spot if they knew she existed. As Kalli places herself in the hands of the dominant wolf, she soon finds she wants nothing more than to submit.

Tristan, committed to ruling his pack as a lone wolf, is inexplicably drawn to the mysterious and enticing woman, who seems more than human, but not quite supernatural. As he discovers her secret, he teaches her the meaning of trust, helping her learn how to be true to her nature. After living a lifetime alone, will he succumb to the visceral need to claim her, acknowledging the soul binding connection between an Alpha and his mate? And will he prevail against the menacing enemy who threatens to destroy Lyceum Wolves?

*Note: This book contains several erotic love scenes, including m/f/m menage, and is intended for adult readers only.

Sexy shifter read with a dash of mystery.

I've been reading a lot of shifter stories lately and this one has really stood out amongst the crowd. You get a great story, with a wonderful relationship build, and fantastic plot. Of, course, there's the insta-attraction (You know how those wolves get when they find their mates)  But the physical aspect of the relationship works it's way up at a believable pace. Kalli's a strong character with a terrible past that does sneak in from time to time and weaken her a bit. But once again, this is believable. You can't expect someone with years of abuse to not have some emotional issues. Tristan is an Alpha, with a capital A. Strong, smart, sexy, dependable; pretty much all the makings of sex on a stick ;)  Together they make a wonderful pair.

The only things that turned me off a bit, was a menage scene between Kalli, Tristan and his Beta. It was explained that after Kalli's first shift she would be extremely hot (if you get my drift) and it would take more than just a little lovin' to satisfy her need. While I don't have a problem with menages, I just found it to be a little off kilter with the Tristan's alpha ways throughout the rest of the book. Heck,  Tristan growled at his Beta, near the beginning, when all he did was touch her shoulder!

I highly recommend this one for Shifter lovers looking for something sexy packed with an emotional punch.

Tristan's Lyceum Wolves by Kym Grosso Excerpt

Tristan's Lyceum Wolves

Excerpt :

Stunned by her beauty, he could barely breathe.  Goddess, the woman was spectacular.  The fiery red gown clung to her in all the right places, and he noticed a small smile grow on her angelic face, presumably pleased that she had castigated Alexandra.  He needed to get to her, hold her.  As he rushed across the room, Mira stopped him with a hand to his arm.  She gestured toward an elusive client standing to her left.

Logan laughed, seeing Kalli triumph over the demon spawn who ran the vampires.  “Hey girl, I hate to point it out, but man you laid her out…and that growl.  What was that?”

“Dance with me, Logan,” Kalli declared, needing to move.

“Your wish is my command.”

They crossed the floor, and Logan swept her into his arms.  As amazing as Logan looked, she yearned for Tristan.  She could feel he was close.  As the music grew louder in her ears, she swayed along to the classical beats, hyper-aware of his presence.  Leaning her head on Logan’s shoulder, she finally spied Tristan near the buffet, surrounded by Mira and a short bald man.

His eyes caught hers, and her heart started to race.  She wasn’t sure whether it was his pensive expression or aggressive stance, but she could clearly sense he was agitated.  Logan spun her, and she lost his eyes only momentarily, then caught them once again.  His predatory gaze electrified the room, sending goose bumps over her skin.  As he stalked toward them, her breathing hitched.  Like a rabbit alert to the wolf, she froze save for the mindless dance steps she made while blindly following Logan.  As Tristan came upon them, she forced herself to face him directly.  Larger than life, Tristan was sophistication etched in dripping sexuality.  His dominance was apparent to every man, woman and supernatural in the room; there’d be no denying him.

Even Logan stopped dancing to respect his Alpha.  Lowering his eyes in submission, he bowed slightly.  “Thank you for the dance,” he whispered, releasing her.

Before she had a chance to say a word, Tristan wrapped a hand around her waist, pulling her tightly to him so they pressed together.  She could feel his barely restrained erection nudging her belly.  Suppressing a moan, she felt herself grow wet.  She clenched her thighs hoping to hide her arousal; every supernatural within fifty feet would know of her excitement.

“Don’t,” Tristan ordered.

“Don’t what?” she managed to ask.

“Don’t try to hide it.  Your delicious scent.”

“But they’ll know I ...” Kalli’s words trailed off as she lost her train of thought.  God, he felt incredible.

“I want them to know.  I want them all to know you’re mine.”

“But I thought…I mean you came with her.” Her eyes darted to Mira.

“Business only, nothing more.  Still, I’m very sorry I didn’t bring you with me.  Clearly I was an idiot to leave you alone with my beta.  Every man in this room is looking at you, Kalli.”

“No,” she denied, shaking her head.

“Yes.  And they should.  Because you’re magnificent.  Everything about you from that alluring dress I bought you to your sexy growl.  My Goddess, do you know what you do to me?  Feel it,” he whispered, grinding his groin against her.

“Tristan,” she breathed.  She was on the verge of orgasm from just dancing with the man.  She couldn’t imagine what would happen if they made love.

“Did you enjoy dancing with Logan?

“What?  Logan?”
“Yes, Logan.  Did you enjoy having your sweet body pressed to his?”

“Oh God, Tristan.”

“It’s all right, Kalli.  Did you find it arousing? Tell me the truth.”

“Another test?” she sighed.

“Truth?”

“Okay yes, but he’s not…he’s not you.  No one I’ve ever met in my life is like you,” she admitted.

“Ah, see how easy it is to tell the truth, ma chérie?  Perhaps you’d like to explore two men at once?” he teased with a sexy smile as if he’d thoroughly enjoy it.

She blushed, not denying it.

“Someday we’ll explore that little kink of yours, but tonight you are mine.  In fact, I think you’ll be mine for quite a long time.”

“Confident, huh, wolf?”

“Would you ever expect anything less?”

He spun her around, continuing to brush against her.  Tightening the grip around her waist, he ran his palm up her arm to her neck, until he reached her face.  Caressing her cheek, he ran his thumb across her lower lip.  “I want you so much, Kalli.  I’m so sorry for everything.  I shouldn’t have sent you to Logan’s.  I was angry, but damn, I need you.”

She groaned and threw her head back, publicly baring her neck to him.  Submission, truth, she’d give it to him all right.  But what he needed to learn was that he was hers as well, and after tonight she had no intention of letting him go.

Someone Else's Sky by Christine Wenrick Cover reveal

Title: Someone Else's Skye
Author: Christine Wenrick
Genre: Paranormal Romance
*Expected publication: October 1 2013*

One night. . . One violent supernatural battle . . .

And five stories of the men whose lives
will be changed by it.

Kane, Brethren Guardian and one of the few Natural Shape-Shifters left in existence, survived the bloody battle of Brahm Hill but lost two of his closest friends. For all of his good-natured sarcasm and eye-popping good looks, Kane finds himself unable to completely forget about that night, so he seeks comfort in the one thing he is truly good at . . . sex!

This shape-shifting bad boy believes in having a good time—a very good time, usually involving some mingled heavy breathing with a sexy Dhampir in a tiny closet somewhere. But when he’s sent into the freezing tundra of the Northwest Territories to investigate a troublesome supernatural being on the loose, he ends up crossing paths with a woman who almost instantly drives him insane with want . . . because she doesn’t seem to be falling for the shifter’s charms.

It’s completely inexplicable.

Skye Matthews has a job to do, and she needs to be focused on that, not spending all her time rebuffing the advances of this way-too-cocky and handsome stranger. Yet, there is something irresistible about this self-involved playboy that Skye can’t seem to stay away from. And when the unidentified Kane is sent to investigate takes an unnatural interest in her, protecting her becomes the Guardian’s top priority.

But . . . can Kane save Skye from a supernatural being no one has ever encountered before?

Review: The Reluctant Marquess by Maggie Andersen

Title: The Reluctant Marquess
Author: Maggie Andersen
Source: Self Purchased
Genre: Historical Romance
Length: Novel
Release Date: March 8, 2012
Reviewer: Jasmyn

Charity Barlow wished to marry for love.  The rakish Lord Robert wishes only to tuck her away in the country once an heir is produced.

A country-bred girl, Charity Barlow suddenly finds herself married to a marquess, an aloof stranger determined to keep his thoughts and feelings to himself.  She and Lord Robert have been forced by circumstances to marry, and she feels sure she is not the woman he would have selected given a choice.

The Marquess of St. Malin makes it plain to her that their marriage is merely for the procreation of an heir, and once that is achieved, he intends to continue living the life he enjoyed before he met her.

While he takes up his life in London once more, Charity is left to wander the echoing corridors of St. Malin House, when she isn't thrown into the midst of the mocking Haute Ton.

Charity is not at all sure she likes her new social equals, as they live by their own rules, which seem rather shocking.  She's not at all sure she likes her new husband either, except for his striking appearance and the dark desire in his eyes when he looks at her, which sends her pulses racing.

Lord Robert is a rake and does not deserve her love, but neither does she wish to live alone.

Might he be suffering from a sad past?  Seeking to uncover it, Charity attempts to heal the wound to his heart, only to make things worse between them

Will he ever love her?

The Reluctant Marquess put a unique twist on an old storyline.  When Robert and Charity marry to satisfy the terms of a will so Robert can inherit, they aren't quite sure what to expect from each other.  Charity and Robert decide to make a go of it, if only to satisfy both of their material needs, if not emotional ones.  Charity is a blast of fresh air for the London ton, who isn't quite sure what to make of her and her strange country ways.  Charity is trying to make the best of her marriage and find some semblance of love with Robert, but he seems to be against the thought from the very beginning.  The ending of the story was very touching, with a bit of humor thrown in as well.

A personal blog post about something that devastated me when I was a child

I am blogging today about something that is totally from my heart, this has nothing to do with reading or books. As most of you know I love animals and I have a several cat's and one dog so when I noticed this http://www.catster.com/the-scoop/humane-officer-shoots-kills-feral-cats-kittens-children-watch on my friends Facebook it brought back a bad childhood memory's that I felt the need to share.

Please be warned this post might not be for the faint of heart but I feel the need to warn parents and new parents and to speak out at what has recently happened.

I was only 9 years old and we were visiting my Aunt and Uncle. There were some kittens outside that I was playing with. All of the sudden my Uncle came out of the house with a baseball bat and took one of the kittens away from me and threw it up and hit it with the bat. He proceeded to do all of them that way. Needless to say I was frozen at the sight before my eyes, it was just a totally devastating. Even today I have a very soft spot in my heart for kittens and cats because of this very, very sick man. I hated that man from that point on and I never saw him as my Uncle any longer. I never let him hug me or come close to me, I was very much afraid he would do to me what he  did to those kittens. Even when we went back to visit I would go over to the neighbors I couldn’t stand the look of that man and I was never so glad when he passed away that next month.

I’ve had to live what he did my whole life. One would say they were just kittens but you try to tell that to a little kid who knew no better at the time. I never remember my mom or dad speaking about what happened and the sad fact was, they every muchj could have but I was too deep into thought as to what happened right in front of my eyes and I never heard them. It wasn't until a few years ago before my dad passed away that I even bought the subject up to him, as a matter of fact, my husband or my daughter has no clue that this ever happened to me. I hate even speaking about it now because of the pain it cause me so long ago, but I feel the need to warn parents and new parents please don’t let anyone kill an animal before a kids eyes. You see as we grow older we remember the bad before you do the good, so still today this scene is vivid in my head. I would even suggest if an animal had rabies to have a cop or someone kill them away from a child because you will never know what pain that kid will carry with them all of their lives.

As for the shooting I really hate to know what those kids will go through their whole lives after seeing a cop shoot a litter of kittens’ right in front of their eyes. I would think cops would have compassion but I as I have always know most don’t.  The cop just better be glad I wasn’t the woman because I would have given him a reason to shoot me, but then again I would have never called the cops because I know the right way to get rid of kittens, it’s called re-homing. I have no clue why that mom didn’t stand up for not only her kids but for the kittens too, heck she was feeling the cats and then she calls a cop to come over and take care of them, I have no use for her either and I hope like heck she doesn’t have any animals , I would hate to see what they have to deal with each day. Sad, but with stupid people like this in the world I am really disliking the living more and more every day.

I know most petitions doesn't do too much good but I felt the need to sign this one in hopes it will help get that cop fired or some kind of reprimand.

ARC Review: Bite Me by PJ Schnyder

Title: Bite Me (London Undead, #1)
Author: PJ Schnyder
Source: Netgalley
Genre: Paranormal Romance (zombies, shifters)
Length: Novella (89pgs)
Release: Jun 24, 2013
Available at Amazon| B&N | Carina Press
Reviewer: CaroleDee

Few people walk the streets of London since the zombie outbreak, but that's not an issue for Seth. As
a werewolf, he can handle himself and save humans reckless enough to take a nighttime stroll. While on patrol he comes across a group of people under attack. The one woman brave enough to take a stand against the zombies catches his eye—and not just because of her way with a gun. Learning the beautiful woman is homeless and fends for herself only intensifies his urge to protect and care for her.

Maisie can't help but admit that she's attracted to her werewolf rescuer. She's drawn to Seth's strength and ferocity, and finds herself opening up to him in ways she never imagined, even though she's determined to not rely on Seth or anyone else. She doesn't want another person to get hurt—or die—for her sake. She has enough scars, physical and emotional, from the last time…

But when Seth realizes something is drawing the zombies to Maisie, there may be nothing he can do to save her…

Loved it! And I want more!

A mysterious zombie plague is ravishing London. It hasn't hit apocalyptic levels yet, but those stuck in the city because of quarantines/roadblocks know the zombies are roaming the streets and that they are hungry.

Maisie is a badass with something to prove. After terrible events make her toughen up she isn't afraid to take out as many of the flesh eaters as possible. Unfortunately, the zombies are evolving and Maisie finds herself in a situation where she needs a little help.

After the outbreak Seth, the pack leader of London, comes out to the humans to offer assistance in eradicating the threat. When he helps Maisie out of a bind he knows she's special. But in the midst of a zombie invasion how does he get the headstrong female to accept his attention?

Maisie is fantastic. She's a tough chick out of necessity, but is still very human. Her blossoming relationship with Seth was great to read. Their progress didn't seem rushed at all. In a lot of novellas the balance between heat and plot can be very lopsided. I was very impressed with Schnyder's ability to have a great plot AND fantastic romance in such a short read.

My only complaint is I want more and I want it now! I would love to see a full length novel with Maisie, Seth and the rest of the characters from Bite Me. If I send the author some cookies do you think she'd oblige? lol

Seriously, though, this is a fantastic read! I would recommend it to anyone that loves PNR or UF. I'll be patiently awaiting (okay maybe not patiently) book two in the London Undead series. (Which, according to the Schnyder's website is anticipated to be released in Nov 2013)

About the Author
Born and raised in the North East, PJ Schnyder spent her childhood pretending to study for the SATs by reading every fantasy and sci-fi novel she could borrow from the local and school libraries. She scored fairly high in the verbal portion.

She was introduced to the wonderful world of romance a decade later by her best friend at an anime convention in Seattle.

She now lives somewhere temperate watching the seasons go by with her two dogs and super stealthy ninja kitty, writing her stories.

PJ would love to hear from you. Whether it’s questions or comments regarding her stories or this website, please feel free to email her.

Author Interview with PJ Schnyder

After devouring and loving PJ Schnyder's new zombie and Werewolf filled PNR/UF novella Bite Me I had to ask a few questions!

Ms. Schnyder was nice enough to take time out of her crazy pre-release schedule and satisfy my curiosity (Bite Me releases tomorrow!)

In Bite Me Vampires and Fae are spoken of but never appear. Do you expect to have some vamp or fae characters in future installments of the Love Undead series?

Yes. The heroine of Sing for the Dead, book 2 of the London Undead series is a fae. Based on the title and the fact that she's fae, some might be able to guess what kind. ;)

Vampires aren't featured as main characters in any of the books, but there's a possibility they may be mentioned more in book 3, Survive to Dawn.

Will all books in the series revolve around Maisie and Seth. I have to admit that I want more of them

Each book features a new hero and heroine and even introduces some new supporting characters. No worries, though, because Maisie and Seth do pop into Sing for the Dead and Survive to Dawn for a bit.

Seth speaks about being old. What is the life-span of the London Undead weres?

The London Undead Weres can live for centuries upon centuries. They do not die of old age, due to their ability to heal, but even before the zombie apocalypse the world was a dangerous place. War, hunting by superstitious humans, and insanity are all limiting factors to the life span of a Were.

With the world watching London during the beginnings of the zombie apocalypse, Seth has a lot on his hands proving the Weres are helpful as opposed to being considered another danger in the eyes of human military and government.

You're from the US, but seem to have a pretty decent grasp on British mannerisms, food, and speech. Have you spent time in the UK?

I've had the good fortune to visit London, Portsmouth, and Basingstoke on several occasions for the day job. There was one year my passport indicated 11 business trips to the UK in as many months. O.o

Colleagues in the UK were lovely and I enjoy trying good food in any country. London is a great place to explore international cuisine, but I personally enjoyed many of the traditional British dishes as well.

:)

I also enjoy several BBC programmes like Being Human, Torchwood, and Doctor Who. Having those playing in the background while I'm writing sometimes helps me maintain the voice of my characters in my stories.

What are your favorite zombie themed books/movies/tv shows?

I enjoyed Resident Evil and Resident Evil: After Life. For action movies, they were entertaining with strong female leads. More recently, I watched Warm Bodies and loved it!
Lia Habel's Dearly, Departed is one of my favorite zombie novels and Gimme Shelter is my favorite anthology of the zombie apocalypse. Edited by J.R. Blackwell, Gimme Shelter is the sister anthology to the award-winning live action role playing game Shelter in Place and features many short fiction pieces by awesome authors like Tee Morris, Philippa Ballantine, Chuck Wendig, Mur Lafferty, Jared Axelrod, and many more (even me). It was an honor to be included in an anthology with so many talented authors.

Believe it or not, I don't watch the Walking Dead. I've caught a couple of episodes but my day job has me traveling so often I can't ever seem to catch tv shows unless I'm watching them on NetFlix. I mentioned several of my favorite BBC programmes earlier though.

Any tips for surviving the zombie apocalypse?

Have good cardio. Running is always a good idea. :P

Playing games like Shelter in Place give you good ideas in preparation for a zombie apocalypse too.
Consider them training scenarios. ;)

A big THANK YOU to PJ for answering my questions.
Be sure to check out her Youtube channel where she'll be answering more questions about her upcoming London Undead series!

Review: A Counterfeit Betrothal/The Notorious Rake by Mary Balogh

Author: Mary Balogh

Genre: Historical Romance
Length: Novel (x2)
Release Date: April 30, 2013
Reviewer: Jasmyn

A Counterfeit Betrothal
Lady Sophia Bryant has no intention of marrying anytime soon.  Her one desire is to reunite her parents, who have been estranged for fourteen years.  Surely, if she happens to announce her betrothal - even a false one - they will be forced to see each other.  Devilishly handsome Lord Francis Sutton seems perfect for such deceit, always agreeable to games of passion in which he has nothing to lose.  The trap is set - if only Lady Sophia can keep her foolish heart from falling prey to her brilliant snares.

The Notorious Rake
Lord Edmund Waite is everything that Lady Mary Gregg despises: lewd, lascivious, mocking - the most incorrigible and successful rogue around.  A bluestocking like her would never tempt a man whose taste runs to pretty playthings - so Mary is startled to find herself the object of Lord Edmund's desires.  Even more surprising is her reaction to his shocking advances.  She may be a lady, but this man knows so well how to make her feel like a woman.

A Counterfeit Betrothal is a fantastic story - it would have gotten 5 stars if it had been by itself.  Lady Sophia and Lord Francis are the perfect couple, and have been since they were kids tormenting each other.  When Sophia gets the crazy idea to pretend to be betrothed to him to try and get her parents back together after 14 years apart, he's more than happy to help with her scheme.  But things take an interesting turn when they realize they may actually like each other.  God forbid either admits it - in fact Lady Sophia is quite humorous when she tries to convince herself and Francis - I was laughing so hard I nearly cried.  It was the perfect young romance blooming between childhood friends (sort of).  There was even a bit of a side story with Sophia's parents, but the young ones outshone them hands down.

The Notorious Rake was a little too much of what I consider to be a stereotypical historical romance.  Roguish gentleman meets stand up lady and tries to get her into bed - only he ends up falling in love instead.  This second story in the book is what brought the overall rating down for me.  I had a hard time relating to either character, and it seemed like it was a story I had heard many times before.

Halifax, 1876.  On the death of her mother and sister, Isabelle Gibson is left to fend for herself and her brother in a privately-run workhouse.  After the matron's son attempts to rape her, Isabelle decides to escape him and a life of drudgery by agreeing to marry a moorland farmer she has never met.  But this man, Farrell, is a drunkard and a bully in constant feud with his landlord, Ethan Harrington.  When Farrell bungles a robbery and deserts her, Isabelle and Ethan are thrown together as she struggles so save the farm.  Both are married and must hide their growing love.  But despite the secrecy, Isabelle draws strength from Ethan as faces from the past return to haunt her and a tragedy is set to strike that will change all of their lives forever.

If I had knows this was going to be a tragedy ahead of time, I would have judged this book very differently.  There is not a HEA in this book, I say that as a warning, not trying to give anything away.  The writing itself was very beautiful.  The character were very alive.  Isabelle was a little too determined to stay in a horrible situation instead of finding a way at times, but otherwise she was a true woman of her times - trying to make the best of what life had given her.

Ethan was a gallant gentleman, wanting to protect a woman from having a harder life than necessary.  He just happened to fall in love with her at the same time and it only made things harder for awhile.  Where there is a sad part of the ending, there is also hope and hint at a new life ahead.

Set in modern day Romania, Sanguinarium Chronicles The Vampire Damian, is an incursion into the dark world of Romanian vampires. Meet the Romanian vampires: meet Max, Bucharest's enforcer, Aurora, his life partner and Bucharest's leader who falls in love with Damian, and the notorious Vlad Tepes The Impaler aka Dracula, Romania's ruling prince.

The story documents Damian's journey as seen and lived by him. A journey of growth, discovery, love, hate, revenge and blood. Damian is a new vampire, who, due to his native psychic abilities caught the eye of the Umbriti, psychic vampires who wanted him dead. Max saves Damian and turns him into his right hand man. But, that's only the beginning, as Damian will soon be involved in a fight that lasted for centuries, a fight that stays in the shadows, and where life ends abruptly, where friendships last for centuries and end in days, where love is lost and found, and where nothing is what it seems.

So this story is about Damian, and how he came to be a vampire. There is some sex in the story, but nothing explicit. Damian is Romanian but he writes his story in English, so it has a foreign flare to it.  But I'm used to that since English is not my mother's native language either. Damian has a pretty rough adolescent life, once in college he meets Diana, who shows him that he is unique and not quite like everyone else. As he goes through the motions of a normal life, he encounters someone who totally turns his world upside down, and from there he is introduced to Max. I love Max, he's funny and  he's very protective of Damian. Max takes him under his wing and teaches him everything he needs to know about his new life.
I thought this was a great read, cool story, a lot of action in it, and some flirty scenes. I look forward to the next installment in the chronicles, I hope it's Max's story. lol

Indie Romance Convention Author Interview with Lori Brighton

Please welcome Lori Brighton!

~Tell us a bit about yourself
Well, I went to college to become an archaeologist. I’d seen Indiana Jones a few too many times but I realized pretty quickly it was a bit less adventurous than the movies made it seem; it’s more digging in the dirt than being chased by giant boulders. After college I landed a job as a natural science curator. I loved my job, but I’d always had a huge imagination and it just wasn’t fulfilling that aspect of my personality. So…I decided to try and write a romance! Seven long years later (and lots and lots of rejections), I sold two books to Kensington. The pay was crap, and they didn’t recontract me but fortunately self-publishing took off around this time. Now I can say I actually have a career as a writer, which honestly at times I never thought I’d be able to say! I love being able to tell my son that if you work hard and never give up, you can have the life you want!

~Who or what is your writing muse? And what is your favorite environment to write in or conditions?
Well, when I was sixteen I first discovered romance novels. It was a Julie Garwood historical called Guardian Angel. When I read that book I was in awe, I’d never read anything like it! So much romance, love, emotion and adventure! So, I guess you could say her historical romances are what made me want to start writing later in life, and they are definitely still my favorites. Good books are definitely my muse! As for where I write…I’m usually on my couch, but I have a beautiful, wonderful office that I’ve finally finished decorating, so I’m sure I’ll be there much more often.

~Who or what genre do you enjoy reading?
I’ll read any type of romance or young adult. Like my movies, I like romance and adventure and a happily ever after. Honestly, I don’t have much time to read but when I do, I’m usually reading self-help books! Makes me sound like a nutcase, but I’m addicted to them! I wonder if there’s a book for that…
~What are you working on right now?
A lot! I’m the sort of author who works on multiple books at once. If I get bored, or stuck, I switch to another! But at this exact moment I’m frantically trying to get my next historical romance for Amazon Montlake done…To Please a Lady; book 3 in my Seduction Series. I’m working on a short story to go with my self-published series, The Mind Readers. I’ve got two other paranormal young adult books in the work, as well as a young adult romance (no paranormal). And yes, I’m hoping to get them all out in 2013! Okay, maybe I am a nutcase.

Fun Questions:
Fave Band or singer: I don’t think I have a favorite. I’ll listen to anything from Tom Petty, to Enya, to Classical, to The Lumineers. My husband has Satellite Radio in his car and my favorite station is called Coffee House, so I suppose I tend toward Indie bands.

Dog or Cat: Honestly the best pet I’ve ever had was our dog who died last year
L But if I had to choose, it would be cats! Cats leave you alone! They do their own thing, which I appreciate.
Leather or Denim: The idea of leather sounds sexy, but honestly denim.

Heels or Flip Flops: Well, again I like the idea of heels, but let’s face it, I’m in my PJ’s most days so it’s Flip Flops for me.

Wine or Beer: Neither! I hate the taste of alcohol! I love pop (as we call it from the area in the Midwest where I’m from) but I’m trying not to drink it as it’s so bad for the body!

Mountain Top or Ocean Side: I love all nature! But definitely ocean! I love the mystery of the beach. You don’t know what you’ll see or find. In fact, we’re trying to move toward the beach now! Fingers crossed someday soon!

Boxer, breifs, or commando for your hero: Boxer-briefs!

Thanks so much for having me!
