Discussion of the month Sept. 2010

For these of you that has a job and kids, how do you find a chance to read?

I home-school my daughter and find at times that I just don't seem to have enough time to read. So I wanted to ask this to see what others does to get their fix in and maybe I can find more ways to read.

  1. Lately I haven't been juggling this very well. I thought that when school started since this is my youngest first year that I'd have more time to read and blog but it's not working out that way. So I'm not much help but I'm curious to see what others have to say.

  2. I'm a SAHM, and up until a few weeks ago, the only time I had to read was after the kids were in bed. Both of my kids go to half-day preschool/kindergarten now, so in theory I have an extra 3 hours free in the morning, but so far not much reading has been done! There's always something else that needs done in that "free" time. I hope that once we get settled in the new routine that I'll have a little extra time to read.

  3. I'm in the same boat as you Laurie I homeschool my son and work too from home with my web design etc. I try my best to always work some reading in when I first go to bed at night but many times especially during this summer I've been so tired I was zonked out as soon as I lay down lol.

  4. I work FT and have 2 kids. My husband and I work at the same company so we share the driving. When he is driving I read in the car. I'll read while I make dinner. I'll read for a few minutes to wake myself up. I'll read to relax myself when I go to bed.
