Alice Shepard needs one thing: a date for her sister's wedding. And not just any date. A hunk who will make her fiancĂ© rue the day he left her for her best friend. Her drop-dead gorgeous neighbor fits the bill—even if he is a bit quirky and never comes out during the day—and Alice has downed just enough appletinis to ask him. But she makes it quite clear that there will be no funny business.

Spending a week on a cruise ship full of humans while sleeping close to his sexy next-door neighbor sounds like a helluva bad idea to vampire Noah Thorpe. But his friends need time to get him out of a shotgun wedding—a vampire bonding that will tie his fate to a female vampire he's never met. And Alice's offer comes at just the right time.

What could possibly go wrong?

I thought this was a sweet read, it actually felt like watching a romantic comedy, very chick flicky. I have to say that Alice and Noah, are better than me, because if I was stuck on a cruise ship with my ex who cheated on me with my best friend, I'd be oh so spiteful, lol. What would you do if you were in the same situation? Would you be good or bad? lol
Naoh and Alice both need each other's help, she to use him as a stand in boyfriend on her sister's wedding cruise, and he to get away from his pre-arranged bonding with a stranger while his blood brother Charles figures out a way to stop it.
Noah tries to resist Alice at every turn, but he's really been pining after her since he first laid eyes on her. But the fact that they are too different and what she might think of him holds him back. Meanwhile Alice feels the same way, she's attracted to him but insecurities from her past relationship are stopping her from initiating anything with him. But once they get together, sparks fly and they can't get enough of each other. And all I have to say is bathroom & kitchen scenes, seeeeeeexy! I will never think of lasagna the same way, lol.

I enjoyed Don't Bite the Bridesmaid, it was a great introduction to the series and am looking forward to the next one, I'm hoping Charles has a starring role in it ;)

Duncan Masterson lives apart from his vampire brethren and has vowed to never bring another mortal into his dark world. Only his fiercely loyal human guardian, Jared Evans, knows the truth about who and what he is.

For nearly a century, Duncan has held fast to his vow, until the day he finds the beautiful Tabitha Blacke lying dazed and bleeding after a rogue vampire attack. Duncan realizes he must break his vows in order to protect her from the evil that is prowling his territory.

When both Duncan and Jared find themselves falling for their lovely house guest, they decide to claim her together, forging bonds that will change all of their lives forever.

As trouble draws near, their bond will be tested and sacrifices will be demanded of them all. The two men know they'll do whatever it takes to keep their beloved Tabi safe, but will their love be enough to see them through?

So, what happens when you get attacked by a crazed vampire bent on revenge? You get to shack up with the steamy doctor you've had a crush on and as an added bonus, get his sexy cowboy guardian too.  I thought Eternal Bonds was a fun read, Tabi was witty and temperamental and when the time comes, fierce and loyal. Duncan and Jared are just too funny, I do enjoy when characters are witty and the back and forth banter shows a sense of connection and comradery. When Tabi is attacked in the hospital parking lot, Duncan finds her and assumes it is a personal attack on his territory. Little did he know that his crazy ex and her minion would be behind it. As Jared and Duncan are figuring out a plan of attack, Jared is taken. Duncan and Tabi do what they must in order to save Jared but will they be too late??

I enjoyed Eternal Bonds and definitely recommend it, and all of Susan Haye's work if you haven't yet.

Review: Cruz by Moira Rogers

Title: Crux (Southern Arcana #1)

Length: Novel
Release Date: March 3, 2009
Reviewer: Jasmyn

Jackson Holt makes a decent living as a private investigator in New Orleans, home of one of the largest underground supernatural populations in the United States.  He and his partners have never met a case they couldn't crack...until a local bar owner asks him to do a little digging on her newest hire.

New Orleans is the fourth destination in as many months for Mackenzie Brooks, a woman on the run from a deranged stalker.  After all, any man who shows up on her doorstep claiming to be her destined lover has more than a few screws loose.  But crazy doesn't explain why he always finds her no matter how far she runs.

When her well-meaning boss puts a PI on her case, Mackenzie comes face to face with the incredible truth: magic is real, and whatever spell has kept her hidden and separate from the paranormal world is rapidly deteriorating.

With time running out, she has no choice but to trust Jackson as he struggles to uncover the truth of her past - and her destiny.

This book contains devious schemes, epic battles, forbidden love between a shapeshifter and a spellcaster, nosy secondary characters, furniture-endangering sex and a woman fighting to choose her own destiny.

This book was such a fun book to read!  I loved all the characters - even the bad guys (but in a bad way).  Moira is full of spunk and determination to live her own life away from the crazy man claiming to be her destiny.  Unfortunately, he may just be telling the truth (or at least one version of it).  Her boss and the PI's in New Orleans know that she's not human - she's something else, but she doesn't have a clue herself.

When Mackenzie finds out the paranormal world is all too real, she decides she has to trust Jackson to help her figure out what is going on (she's a very confused lady).  But what the uncover is far from pretty - it's an ugly horrible scheme that rocks the entire paranormal world, and Mackenzie is in the center of it all.

The only thing I disliked about this story was just a little pet peeve of mine that kept coming up, otherwise it would have received 5 stars.  Also, the sexual rating was a little tough on this one.  While there isn't a lot of it or anything really unusual - there is some broken furniture or it would have received a 1 sexual rating.

Blurb for Volume 1
Set against the backdrop of the modern art scene, Intaglio: The Snake and the Coins follows Ava Brooks, art student and graffiti artist, as she begins a wildfire relationship with fellow student, sculptor Cole Thomas. Their sudden connection results in a passionate affair which sparks a series of increasingly vivid dreams. In them, Ava finds herself drawn into a memory of another life: one that she and Cole shared. As each dream brings the memory of her past closer, the two of them must unravel the events that once tore them apart, or risk repeating the same mistakes all over again.
Blurb for Volume 2
Ava Brooks and Cole Thomas share a connection: one forged from the memories of another life. The unraveling web of secrets continues as Ava finds herself caught in a growing conflict between Cole and Kip. In the wake of this, revelations emerge about the death of Cole's sister, but the dark stories hidden in the Thomas household hint at a life marred tragedy. As each new dream brings this other life closer, Ava and Cole must unravel the events that once tore them apart, or risk repeating the same mistakes all over again.

Ok so even though this book didn't have everything I love in a story, it was certainly still an excellent read and well deserving of a 5 star rating. For those of you have seen some of my other reviews, you know that I love action and adventure with a whole lot of hotness, but Intaglio was just a different kind of adventure. It felt so real and relatable that I felt like I was more than just reading the story but  I was there along with them on their journey. Ava & Cole are two art students that when their paths finally cross, they feel a  certain connection that neither one of them can figure out, but are willing to explore. They both have these dreams that they can't really decipher their meanings, but eventually come to understand that it is past lives they are experiencing. And that is where the feeling of having already known each other and this connection comes from.  Both Ava & Cole have a deep rooted anger that is linked to their past and each one expresses or releases their anger in different ways.  While Ava finds her outlet artistically, Cole finds it in drinking and bar fights. We all deal with our issues in different ways and I can see how both outlets can be used. Ava has some struggles with her anger but no where near as difficult as Cole. Cole has been holding it all in for so long, and when he gets to that point where his rage is overtaking him, he releases the only way he knows how, until Ava. She helps him with his anger and hurt and eventually he finds another outlet for release and confronts the people causing it all. And while all of these personal "current" issues are going on between them, they are both still having these dreams of their past lives, and their artwork brings that to life. Ava & Cole finally get through their toughest moments with a little help from friends, therapy, and the love they have for each other.
Intaglio was a very  intense and heart rending read. I loved  it because it wasn't all happy and sappy. The characters had some deep and very emotional issues to work through, that a lot of people don't always recover from. They transform their darkness into art, which is pretty amazing. And I have to say even though the "romantic" scenes weren't explicit they were pretty heavy and emotional, like angry passionate make up sex, that sometimes you want to start a fight just to have it,  lol.
It was a great and heavy read and highly recommend it.

Review Ultimate Sacrifice by Pauline Holyoak

Title:Ultimate Sacrifice (Merryweather Lodge Book #3)
Author: Pauline Holyoak
Source: Author request
Genre: Paranormal, Thriller, Horror and Romance
Length: Novel
Reviewed by Laurie

Four years have passed since that dreadful event in the cellar. Belinda gave birth to a baby girl nine months after Emily witnessed the creature raping Jonathan. The child appeared normal, but looks can be deceiving. For four years, there has been no paranormal activity at the cottage or reports of suicides or murders in the area. Merryweather Lodge is the fairytale kingdom Emily always dreamt it would be—or so it seems. In just one week, Emily is going to marry the man of her dreams, her literal soul mate. Will her unearthly adversary allow the wedding to take place? Come to the West Country in England and experience the final act at Merryweather Lodge.

Merryweather Lodge is a trilogy that borders a lot of different genres, from thriller to romance. From the first book we have followed Emily down a scary road of battling her evil ancestor the Druid priestess Merhia, we thought it was over with in the second book but nope, Merhia is still demanding on getting her revenge.

Ultimate Sacrifice is another edge of your seat read. My only downside was the use of the child Abby, I just can’t hack a child being used by any evil spirit. Other than that the story was great, it held my attention in many ways. I loved the characters and I loved that I got to follow Emily from teen to adult. I also have to give kudos to the author because Emily is very young when this series started out so the author had to write this character as she grew. I think she did an awesome job because you can really tell the changes in her character in each book.

This time around Emily finds out a lot more about the past of her Auntie when Skye offers to put Auntie Em under hypnosis. I’ll just say this hypnosis gives a lot of insight and it really ties everything together. As things unravel from the past things are starting to heat up as Marhia, is yet again preparing to stake claim to Jonathan.
I recommend this series to anyone who loves a good edge of your seat thriller with the addition of paranormal.

A good ending for a great trilogy.

Reading suggestion-  trilogy should be read in order.

Please spay and neuter your pets.

Bitten’s She-Wolf Pack Thursday Review for July: Wickedest Witch by Eve Langlais

(Re-released/Expanded version)
Author: Eve Langlais

Genre: Paranormal Romance
Length: 206 pgs

Thank you for engaging the services of Wicked Incorporated, where the insults are given for free.

Evangeline is not a very nice witch, and she's not afraid to show it. Her ruthless nature comes in handy as a problem solver until she lands a job where she's forced to work with an uncouth shifter. He's rude, cocky, totally unsuitable, not to mention part animal, but despite it all, she can't help craving his touch.

Ryker is big, bad, and brash. When he's partnered with a curvy witch, he does everything in his power to fight her allure. And fails. But he's not too disappointed as he discovers wickedness has its uses, especially in the bedroom.

Vampires, a wedding from hell, and a cackling boss named Rumpelstiltskin, will these two wicked beings complete their job and admit, despite their stubborn nature, that they belong together?

I absolutely loved Evangeline and Ryker.  It was so much fun to read a story where the main couple wasn't necessarily the good guys!  Evangeline is a love em and leave em type but once she meets Ryker she can't get him out of her mind.  Ryker is avoiding a planned marriage (which was interesting to see from the guy's perspective) and thinks Evangeline will be a great tumble to help him take his mind off things.  How do they meet?   Well it all starts off as just business - with a well known fairy tale creature at that.  All the characters in this story had a fantastic twist to them and the dialog had me laughing several times.  If you need a break from the brooding good guys and the untouchable good girls, then this is just what you need.

What do you get when you mix a sexy hot headed shape-shifter cat and a truly wicked witch? A dangerously steamy romance! I found this book full of humor and exciting to read. Eve published this a few years ago as a short story I loved it then and I love it even more now that a few more thousands words has been added. Eve took this book from 57 pg. to 207 pgs., so if you found the first book way too short for your liking, then please by all means try the new version.

Evangaline, is so wicked she turned her last lover into a rat. But she can’t help being so wicked. You see she is a decedent from Rasputin, so you know she has to live up to the wicked standard Mwahahahaahhaha.

Ryker is huge hot shape shifter. He has one problem most when who see him find him so domineering they faint just at the sight of him .When Ryker and his cat meet this wicked witch he just can’t resist this fireball especially when he sees all the curves she has without her glamour. When these two stubborn hot heads gets an assignment together there is nothing to stop the intense sexual tension that is between them. Just remember these two are stubborn so you get an excellent laugh your butt off chase between these two.

I recommend this to anyone who loves a good humors adventure.

It was a great fast read that was very funny. Esp when you find out the Eve has a secret that makes her a very relatable character. But at first i did not like her at all. She seemed too brash. I guess too wicked, lol.
I think many of you would enjoy this read.

I was just saying the other day on Bitten's Facebook page that I wanted to see an evil couple, and who else but Eve could deliver? :)

Evangeline was so wickedly awesome. I can totally see myself in her. Shocked? Don't be. lol. I've been told many 'a times that my honesty makes me seem like a 'witch' on occasion. Being bad can be so fun and our heroine proves that point perfectly.

Ryker is her match in just about every aspect. He's deliciously evil in his own right and couldn't be anymore perfect for Evangeline.

With some crude humor, a pretty nifty plot, and characters that will make you laugh you're butt of Wickedest Witch is a winner!

Emi's ratings:

Holy freaking hotness! Wickedest Witch is definitely in my top 5 hottest reads.

Ryker is just too damn hot, I'm usually a vamp lover but lately the shifters have been on equal footing and I think Ryker may have pushed them over the edge. Lol. Not only this Alpha male dominate, sexy, and rough, but he drives a motorcycle which gives him bonus hot points. Lol. I love Evangeline too, she's considered evil, but she just tells it like it is and does things that ppl only wish they had the balls to do.

The story itself is pretty interesting and the book didn't only hold my attention because of the not sex. However every time I read Rumpelstiltskin's name and some other fairy tale similarities, I thought of the Shrek movie, lol. I know that's just my crazy self. lol

If you like funny back and forth banter with hot sex and some investigation work, you'll love it!

Genre: Paranormal Romance

Reviewer: Jasmyn

What would you do if you woke up in the snow with absolutely no memory of who you are or how you got there?  What would you say to your savior whenn she tells you that not only are you now dead but you've been chosen to become a Grim Reaper.  Ceres is working to piece the slivers of her former life together from fractured memories, all while learning how to stay off her demon Mistress' radar.  Ceres may have been qualified to become a Reaper, but that doesn't mean she's very good at it.  From her catastrophes in becoming a Reaper to her inablility to maintain a day job, Ceres and her tiny Hellhound aren't doing much to impress anyone in the house, especially Gavin, the head Reaper of their Wake.  Gavin and Ceres may have gotten off on the wrong foot but there is something about her he can't ignore.  The problem is he's not the only one interested in her.  What Ceres soon finds out is that their Demon Mistress has laid claim to Gavin and she's told Ceres it's hands off.  Does Ceres accept the fact that their Mistress is trying to force Gavin into her own patiently waiting arms or does Ceres risk her afterlife in order to save his?

Ceres is an amazing character!  From the very beginning I could really relate to how she was feeling and reacting to the situations around her.  One of the most well written heroines I've read.  And the fact that she's a bit of a bookworm gave her a place in  my reading heart very easily.  She's a little socially awkward, in a very endearing way and really wants to know what happened to her to make her a Reaper.  But she may be better off not knowing - her history is a huge mystery throughout the book that is revealed in little snippets from the oddest and least expected places.  It was wonderful.

The reason this book didn't get 5 stars, is there was a bit of a nasty love triangle thing going for awhile.  While the "other guy" knew he really wasn't going to go anywhere serious with Ceres, he stayed in the picture as a possible romance a little too long for my taste.  I like knowing what hero to root for.  The ending was a bit rushed as well.  So much happened in about 10 pages I felt like the author ran out of time or space and had to just cram it all in as fast as she could.  Up until that point it was a very well paced book.  Oh, and we can't forget about Ceres' hellhound - he's a bit of a show stealer himself in an amazing cute but deadly sort of way.

Upcoming changes for our blog!

I wanted to update everyone about our blogs new name. Yep, we have decided to change our name, crazy right? Not to us because we here all love reading romance, so why not drop off the “Paranormal”  and start reviewing all romance sub-genres. Sound great to us and we hope it does to you too.

We are keeping all of the reviews on this blog and adding an update under our about us page. Something like, we are formally known as BbPNR. I don’t want any authors to lose their reviews and I don’t want us to lose our hard work we put into them. The blog will still heavily review PNR’s because it’s what we love to read, so you’ll still get a chance to see PNR’S being reviewed. I am hoping this will not only help us but help pull more readers into the PNR world too. There are many out there that have not tried it yet.

The blog will still only feature 18 and over material meaning we will still not be reviewing any Teen, YA or New Adult.

The changeover will be slow; I want everyone to get use to the idea that we are no longer BbPNR and I will keep you up to date as much as I can.  I am hoping to have everything completed by or if not before January 2014.

Here is looking forward to changing into "Bitten by Romance"

Werewolf Love - All About the Werewolves of Surrey: Blog Hop with Dianna Hardy

The Eye of the Storm series is a fantastic series about werewolves.  I have read and reviewed book 1 Releasing the Wolf (click for review) and book 2 Cry of the Wolf (click for review), and they were amazing. I'm so happy to host author Dianna Hardy and share an excerpt from Releasing the Wolf with you.  Also, leave a comment at any of the tour stops and you will be entered to win one of three ebook copies of your choice from Eye of the Storm series (open internationally).

Author of The Witching Pen and the Eye Of The Storm series.

Dianna combines a titillating mix of paranormal romance and urban fantasy into her writing, to bring you stories that are action-packed, fast-paced and not short of heat, with the focus on both character development and the plot. She writes both full-length novels and short fiction. She has also written poetry and esoteric books and articles.

Although quite active online, Dianna is a self-confessed hermit, preferring the company of nature and animals to the hustle and bustle of people. She loves anything paranormal (she doesn't really consider it "para"), organic food, walking barefoot, the smell of the woods after rain, and summer days.

However, she is also sustained by coffee, chocolate and the occasional vodka.

She lives in the UK with her partner and their daughter, where she devotes her time to parenting, publishing and writing.

Excerpt from Releasing The Wolf

She wasn’t sure how she’d made it home, despite only living a fifteen minute walk away. She couldn’t remember the last time she had been this furious. But maybe what really heightened the fury, was the realisation that somewhere, deep down, she had taken in what he’d said – she’d actually taken it in. Which was ludicrous, and it made her ludicrous.

Her mind rang as she slammed her key into the lock of her front door and stormed her way into her flat, kicking the door shut behind her. She was pretty sure she could feel the beginnings of a headache.

Whipping her phone out of her bag, she pulled up Brendan’s number, hit the green phone symbol and waited for him to pick up.

It went straight to his mailbox.

The sound of his voice took her anger up a notch. She waited for the beep, which finally sounded while she was mentally running through all the insults she could think of.

“Dickhead!” she yelled, then hung up and tossed the phone across the room towards her bed. Luckily, that’s where it landed.

Okay, so that wasn’t very mature, but what the fuck did she care. After tonight, she was done caring – everyone was a nutter.

Review/Series spotlight/Giveaway: The Alpha's Daugher by Jacqueline Rhoades

Title: The Alpha's Daughter (Wolvers, #3)
Author: Jacqueline Rhoades
Source: Author
Genre: Paranormal Romance (wolf-shifters)
Length: Novel (398pgs)
Reviewer: CaroleDee

There is a balm in Gilead, to heal the wounded soul…

Jazz Phillips is on the run, fleeing from a fate most females in her pack accept as their lot in life; an arranged mating, something Jazz thought wasn't in her future as the Alpha's daughter and only child. She doesn't want to be the next Alpha's Mate. She doesn't want to be anyone's mate. She likes her life just the way it is until she finds herself stranded in the mountain town of Gilead, home to a small and close knit pack of wolvers. Once there, she begins to question her life as it was and begins to wonder about what it could be, especially in the arms of the wolver the people call Doc.

Doc Goodman claims to have settled in Gilead because he saw a need for his services, but in fact, he's a runaway, too. He's rejected his wolver heritage and the warring politics that stripped him of everything he loved most. He's biding his time, waiting to die, until he meets the blue haired, foul mouthed beauty who shows him there are still things worth living for and the most important of them are worth fighting for

Another fantastic read by Jacqueline Rhoades!

In a world where almost anyone can independently publish a book it can become tedious to wade through the mediocre to find a winner and I'm here to tell you that you can put those waders away because Jacqueline is a sure thing! I've read everyone of her books and fell in love each time!

The Alpha's daughter is a bit different than previous entries into the Wolver's Series. This time we get a female shifter that knows the ins and outs of Wolver politics. Unfortunately she comes from an archaic pack that treats women like crap. In an attempt to escape a forced marriage she flees and finds herself in a back-water Appalachian town and it's pack. When the local pack doctor takes her in she quickly learns that life in Gilead might be simple, but it's anything but boring.

Filled with hilarious characters, a romance that builds, an action filled climax, and a bitter-sweet rise to power this book has it all!

Treat yourself and pick up The Alpha's Daughter today.

*While this is book 3 in the series, it can be read as a stand-alone.
Although, seriously, you're going to want to check out the rest of them because they're awesome ;)

Be sure to check out Jacqueline's other books!

The Wolvers Series:
The Alpha's Mate (The Wolvers #1)
The Alpha's Mate (Wolver # 1)
Welcome to Rabbit Creek....
City girl Elizabeth Reynolds hopes to find peace and contentment in the small Appalachian town of Rabbit Creek. Okay, so the bucolic cottage she’s rented turns out to be a dilapidated cabin without phone service, but the people she meets are wonderful. Friendly and down to earth, they welcome her with open arms. It’s just like moving to Mayberry… if Andy and Aunt Bea were wolves.

Only an outsider would call them werewolves. They’re wolvers, a community of man/beasts that have lived in these hills since their ancestors emigrated from Scotland three hundred years ago. And that gorgeous Chief of Police, Marshall Goodman, the guy she met while covered in mud and wearing granny underpants? The one who sends her heart spinning? He’s their Alpha and his pack is under attack from outside forces. Elizabeth, being a sane and reasonable woman, wants no part of any of this, but if she refuses to risk her life and her heart, the people she’s grown to care about will lose everything and she’ll lose the one man she was born to love.

The Alpha's Choice (The Wolvers, #2)
The Alpha's Choice (Wolver #2)
Katarina Bennett stopped believing in fairytales a long time ago. Prince Charming doesn't exist. Careful planning is what makes dreams come true and that's what she's spent her adult life doing. Now those plans have fallen apart. She's lost everything; her fiancé, her job and her home.
Determined to make a new start, Kat takes a job as a governess and teacher for five orphaned children and finds herself in an old Gothic mansion in the middle of nowhere with people who aren't what they seem.

Charles Goodman is the Alpha of his wolver pack, the modern descendants of an ancient line of man/beasts who've hidden among the human race for centuries. Charles has his hands full with taking his pack in a new direction and dealing with dissention in the ranks and doubts about his own abilities to lead, but when he meets his feisty new employee, he begins to believe in a future he didn't think possible.

Together, Charles and Kat, Alpha and Mate, set out to prove all things are possible and fairytales do come true.

Guardian's Grace (Book 1)
Grace Masters always dreamed of a family she could call her own and always knew that for her, those dreams would never come true. Yet here she is, in an old Victorian home, living and loving under the cover of night. Who knew the source of her lifelong torment was really her gift as a Daughter of Man or that this gift could be controlled and used for something good? Who knew there was another race called the Paenitentia who live side by side with humans? Who knew that demons were real? Grace certainly didn't until one fateful night when her world falls apart and comes together again in a place where she finally belongs.

Sometimes a person just knows when something is right and destined to be. Sometimes convincing someone else of that fact is a little more difficult. Canaan ad Simeon is that someone else. Canaan is Liege Lord to a House of Guardians whose job is to protect the Race from a demon threat many no longer believe in. Already breaking away from the outdated traditions that are depleting their numbers and threatened by a hierarchy resistant to change, the last thing Canaan needs is to fall for this innocently sexy Daughter of Man.
But fall he does, with a mixture of comedy, drama and romance that will touch your heart.

Guardian's Hope
Guardian's Hope (Book 2)
Hope parsons has heard about the evil of demons since she was a child in the little isolated community where she grew up. Demons were part of the outside world; demon sex, demon drink, demon music, demon woman. According to her father, her mother was evil, too.

This is Hope Parson’s world until she finds a box her mother hid years ago and the remnant of a letter her runaway sister wrote begging for help. This is the impetus she needs to embark on a journey out into the world and the city where she hopes to find her sister and learn more about her mother’s legacy. Once there, she learns her father was wrong about most of the evils of the outside world. Unfortunately, he was right about one; living, breathing demons are real.

Nico ad Nimeni, with his dark charm and magazine cover good looks, is a recent addition to Canaan ad Simeon’s House of Guardians. As a Guardian of the Race, it’s his job to protect his people, the Paenitentia, along with humankind from the demons who cross over, but Nico knows there are other kinds of demons than those who stalk the night, like the ones that plague a man’s soul and insist he stand apart.

When circumstances bring Hope to the House, she finds a place where everything she knows about good and evil is turned upside down. In this world of witches and demons, vampires and Paenitentia, she learns that things are not always what they seem and that a shy, over-sized country girl can find love in the arms of a suave sophisticate.

Guardian's Joy (Book 3)
JJ Justice has spent her adulthood lost and alone and vulnerable to the haunting of a past she can’t remember. It’s no wonder she feels different from other people and not surprising that she chose the police force as a way of standing up for others who are defenseless against the evils of the world, but when her only friend and partner is brutally murdered by a creature not of this world, JJ discovers a greater purpose. She is called to hunt the monsters only she can see. Once again, she resigns herself to living her life alone.

Guardian of the Race, Bernardo ad Tormeo, longs for a woman of his own, one that’s as fun loving and loyal as his Liege Lord’s Lady, Grace, and as soft and gentle as his fellow Guardian’s mate, Hope, but the chances of meeting such a woman seem slim to none. What with the nightly patrols and his gaming business, he hasn’t the time to go searching for love. Besides, he’s seen too many matings that didn’t work out.

Nardo is sworn to protect his people and their human cousins from the demons who cross over from the Otherworld. He never thought he would be hunting a vampire; just like he never thought of falling in love with a leather clad ex-cop who can kick demon butt with the best of them.
How do you romance a woman who thinks more of knives than roses? And how do you help her fight the demons of her soul when she can’t remember who they are? Nardo doesn’t know, but he’s determined to find out. He only hopes he and his new love can find the answers before a monster from Joy’s past takes away the only woman he will ever love.
