INSPIRATIONAL ROMANCE

Book 3-Holiday Harbor: Where love is just around the bend...

Running away from her troubled city life, Lauren Foster never thought she'd find herself in small-town Maine. But Holiday Harbor is everything she's looking for. The townspeople are welcoming, her job at her friend's toy store is going well and, most important, she's safe. Meeting contractor Ben Thomas soon changes all that. With his good looks, easygoing nature and kind heart, he's turning her peaceful new life upside down. She's quickly falling for the local hero, but when her past catches up to her present, is she willing to face her fears for the future she's always dreamed of?
Book One Review:  Rocky Coast Romance

They say that once you visit Holiday Harbor you never want to leave.  Well, I can say that I might leave, but I will definitely want to come back.  This series has been the perfect vacation book for me (not in the sense that I'm on vacation).  When I need a break from the booding males, the flirty females, and all the super hot sex scenes - this series is becoming my break.  (Book two is a christmas one so I'll probably read that closer to the holiday).

This book in the series was ever so slightly more preachy than the first, but it's still very subtle and not hitting you over the head with a bible.  Lauren is a little fragile when she shows up in the small village looking for a place to find herself and figure out a new path in life.  Ben is the perfect "good boy" to make make her feel comfortable and relax again for the first time in a long time.

Their relationship unfolds over a length of time very naturally - I think that is one of the things I like best about this series so far.  It's real life.  They have a handful of communication break downs.  They both have some baggage to deal with, but when you get down to it, it's two nice people falling in love.  It's just the type of story you need sometimes.

Late Call by Emma Hart

(Call #1)
Publication date: May 1st 2014
Genres: Adult, Erotica, Romance

She’s a high class call girl. He’s taking over his father’s business.

Seven years ago, they fell in love in Paris.

They walked away at the end of the summer, never imagining they’d meet again.

Now he’s her client.

We fell in love the way you jump from a cliff. Hard and fast with a reckless sense of abandon. The six weeks we spent together changed my life, but at seventeen, I was naive. I was a dreamer. A believer.

Now I’m twenty-four and cynical. I don’t believe in love. There’s no place for such emotions as a high class escort. The only things I’m allowed to feel are physical – and that’s why it’s so damn hard when the client of a last minute job turns out to be the man I left in France seven years ago. When he buys me for six weeks at triple my rate, my agent makes it clear I have no choice but to take the job despite our previous relationship. And my heart makes it very clear I have to stay firmly on top of the cliff this time.

Because for six weeks, I once again belong to Aaron Stone.

Expanded Edition! More Story! More Sullivans!

Fans of Bella Andre’s Sullivan Series will love this long-awaited print edition of FROM THIS MOMENT ON. It features a longer, more-detailed story with all the emotion and sensuality that readers love. Not to be missed!

Just one night.

Marcus Sullivan has always been the responsible older brother, stepping in to take care of his seven siblings when their father died. But when the perfectly ordered future he’s planned turns out to be a lie, Marcus needs one reckless night to shake free from it all.

Known throughout the world by only one name, Nico, pop songstress Nicola Harding is seen as the ultimate sex kitten. But it's all a lie. After a terrible betrayal she refuses to let anyone else close enough to find out who she really is, or to hurt her again. Especially the gorgeous stranger at the bar.

One night is all Nicola and Marcus agree to share with each other. But instead, a deeper connection than either of them could have anticipated begins.

Book One: The Look of Love

From This Moment On was just a little too far-fetched for me to get into.  I know that most contemporary romances involve hard to imagine situations, but this was just a little too many long shots for me.  I found myself flipping through many intimate scenes scanning for dialog instead of enjoying the hot moments.

Now that I've criticized the storyline, the characters were the exact opposite.  I really enjoyed Nicola and Marcus as people.  They were fun and if the circumstances had been different I think I would have enjoyed their romance.  Their first meeting and night together were fantastic and if there had been more like that I know I would have loved it.

Now this is a series that has tons of great reviews, so if you're thinking about it don't let me turn you off.  I enjoyed book one and book three (review soon).  And while the didn't knock my socks off, I will be giving the series another shot with book four.

A Ripple Effect Romance Novella

Drew Westfall wants nothing more than to forget what he had to do in the name of "smart" business. Cutting off all ties with his parents—including handing over the entire contents of his trust fund to a charity—he takes off for Bridger, Colorado where his best friend has an extra room for him. It doesn't take long for him to realize that his business degree won’t do him much good in a town as small as Bridger, but he's broke and has nowhere else to go.

Eden Torresi has every reason to wallow. Not only did she have to sell her house to pay for her mother’s medical expenses, but she had to drop out of school and is in a relationship with a guy unwilling to commit. But Eden isn't the wallowing type. Instead, she spends most of her time taking care of the seniors at Silver Linings Assisted Living. When she learns that her boyfriend's new roommate is down on his luck, she reaches out to offer what help she can. But the more time they spend together, the more complicated things get, especially when the seniors of Silver Linings decide to play matchmaker.
Silver Linings is a great follow up to Home Matters.  It stays with the pattern good clean romance between two amazing characters.  Eden Torresi seems to be the perfect person - but her refusal to accept help may be her downfall.  Drew doesn't know what it's like to do a good deed until he meets Eden, but once he sees what it can do to other's lives and even his own, he's on board to find out more.

The people that live at Silver Linings Assisted Living really helped make this book memorable.  They were sneaky little busy bodies that couldn't keep their noses in their own business - and it's fantastic!!  They really are a major catalyst to everything coming together.  On the downside, the other catalyst is Eden's mother - a woman who is very ill but determined to see her daughter happy and living her own life.

This was a very quick and sweet read.  Lots of romance, lots of great characters and a story that doesn't let you down.

Cover Reveal: Cursed and Coveted by Catharina Shields

Title: Cursed and Coveted

Author: Catharina Shields
Release Date: March 30, 2014
Genre: Paranormal Romance

This 128,000+ word length novel is one of the longest I've ever written. This is a story about a seemingly unremarkable young woman who believes herself to be cursed by an ancient Egyptian spell and who falls for a man who is in every which way out of her league. Toss in some fictional and non-fictional Egyptology-based werewolves and werecats, the Louisiana Bayou, mystery, and a steamy "geek girl meets jock" romance and you have "Cursed & Coveted", a paranormal erotic romance.

Excerpt from Cursed and Coveted:
Against all reason, against everything she knew and the dangers she was exposing herself to, Jaydee pressed tighter to him. A soft moan rumbled up from somewhere deep inside her as she surrendered to her heart and to the smoldering desires of her body. It was wrong, she knew, to take advantage of him while he was most likely under Bastet’s influence. But her soul cried out to be held and loved, and the chances of her ever being with someone like Jean-Marcel should she not take it now was next to nil. So why deny herself? Besides, it was only a matter of time before Bastet would rise and she would be the first casualty in this ancient battle. For the brief time she had left as Jaydee Jamison, she wanted her last thoughts to be of love and belonging, not of fear and loneliness.

With this resolve, she surrendered and kissed him back with all of the passion of her heart, igniting his passion instantaneously. He grabbed her tightly against him, as if he could draw her inside him, and her heart skipped with joy. As he deepened the kiss, she didn’t put up any resistance and welcomed his tongue into her mouth as her arms slipped around his neck and drew him closer.

She pressed tightly against him and immediately felt his arousal grow against her tummy. She couldn’t suppress a sweet shudder when she felt how much he wanted her, too. He carefully removed her glasses and set them aside before she felt his hand return to slide down her back, gripping her behind and pressing her even tighter against his aroused hips. His deep, reverberating groan ignited an inferno that began somewhere deep in her chest and what reverberated down to deep between her thighs.

Jean-Marcel’s head was spinning like never before. Lavender and orchids became the air he breathed, and the sensual feel of Jaydee against him created an insatiable hunger for much, much more. He had fought valiantly with himself, told himself to keep away from her, but it proved impossible. The attraction was too powerful.

His lips twisted over hers in a hungered kiss. She responded with equal desire, inflaming his lust and passion a few degrees higher. His head whirled as visions of Jaydee naked beneath him flashed across his mind, and he felt his erection throb painfully for her. He didn’t waste any time and swept her up in his arms, impatient to make her his, and carried her upstairs to his bedroom and his bed . . .
