Shanna is thrilled when her fiancĂ© sweeps her off to Ireland for a romantic interlude and asks her to marry him at Castle Tullamore. But their sexual adventure quickly turns into a nightmare when he reveals his dark side. With the engagement broken and her fiancĂ© gone, she crumples into the arms of Tullamore’s handsome gardener, Niall. He proves how hot, sensual and mind-blowing sex can be. It’s unsettling, though, how he manages to distance himself after making love. In fact, he downright disappears!

Niall mourns the death of his beloved Abigail until he sees Shanna. He falls in love with the gorgeous American but fears his heart will surely be broken again. They can’t stay together, not in the manner Shanna needs. But when a determined, dark apparition begins stalking her, Niall realizes it may be the key to their destiny.

Part of the Emerald Isle Fantasies series.

I have a confession. I'm a big scaredy cat. I really dislike ghost movies and stories, or anything with evil Demonic exorcisms or anything like that.  Which is kind of funny since the last two books I've read were ghost mysteries. But they were both excellent reads.

Phantom Mischief  was a great read. It was definitely a page turner for me, I finished it no time time at all. Ireland and it's history and  tales of the castles have always intrigued me, so when I find a story with a sexy paranormal twist to it, I love it.  Shanna is visiting Tullamore Castle with her (stupid) fiance for their one year anniversary. While trying to get cozy in their room, things start to get freaky, and not in the good way. As it turns out, her fiance is a total jerk and she is left alone for the remainder of the week. She tries to get her schedule together and make her way back home, but destiny and Tullamore's ghosts have other plans for her. Shanna is quite a funny character, the way she gets freaked out and over analyzes the situation, I would totally be doing the same thing. And what is there not to love about a sexy gardener with a delicious Irish accent, who just happens to be a ghost, lol.

Phantom Mischief is a great, sexy ghost mystery.

Rendezvous with Hymera follows the development of a beautiful love story and a bizarre chain of events which lead to the investigation of a mystery that falls into a strange and somewhat paranormal discipline - Yoga.

The amateurish investigation starts when Clara DeVine changes her plans for a vacation and ends up in a strange place, where strange things happen. In the scene enters Colin Lambert, a special man from Clara’s past. Their attempts to elucidate the intriguing mystery bring them close again and the unfinished business between them turns into a beautiful and hot love story.
The fate of the female enigma of this story seems to resemble in a strange way that of the people inexplicably lost during The Philadelphia Experiment.

I thought this was a very cool read! It was beautifully written, very descriptive and detailed.  I say love story with paranormal influence because the main characters have no paranormal abilities or attributes. They just happen to be a human couple in the middle of a ghost mystery. Which is totally awesome. I think another awesome aspect of the story is that Clara and Colin have known each other for years and have always felt an attraction for each other but never acted on it,  and after some time apart, they finally see each other again and don't let the opportunity pass. I really enjoyed Clara's character, I agree with mostly everything she says in her discussions with Colin or just thoughts to herself.  It was a very interesting read and the mystery ghost and the investigating by Clara and Colin make it a page turner.

I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to more of Melissa's work.
