Rose Rosetta, David Austin Rose

I feel like I just lost my best friend of six years, and actually, I have. I bought this David Austin at Lowe's when I first started back working after homeschooling my daughter for 12 years.

I've maintained this amazing shrub all those years; it grew taller than I am, and each year it produced amazing huge blooms. A few weeks ago, I noticed it looked a bit odd, and the buds weren't opening, so I figured it was mites again, so I sprayed it. A week later, it was worse. So, I Googled diseases in roses and found out it's called Rose Rosette, and there's NO CURE! It has to be cut down and dug out. It is absolutely heartbreaking to have to cut it down and dig it out after all these years.

If you have a rose with Rose Rosette, please get rid of it the proper way so it doesn't spread into neighbors' roses or more of your roses.
