Excerpt from Beyond the Veil of Whispered Dreams:
Ian walked around the car, holding his hand out to her as he
opened her door. Daria placed her hand in his, touched by his show of chivalry,
though not entirely surprised by it coming from him. She stepped out of the
car, and the heels of her sandals immediately began to sink into the soft soil.
She stumbled into Ian and reached out with her free hand where it landed on his
solid chest. Ian took the opportunity presented to him, placed his hands on her
waist, and pulled her close so their bodies were flush against each other. She
looked up at him, her iridescent eyes were bright and her face was flushed. She
licked her lips. Growling, he resisted no more, lowered his head, brushed his
lips against her soft pink lips, and captured her bottom lip between his teeth.
She gasped. His tongue swept into the opening presented by her parted lips.
Daria stiffened, then melted against him. The kiss was scorching, igniting
flames of desire that sent tingles to her breasts. Her nipples hardened beneath
the chiffon of her bodice. A pool of heat settled between her thighs, her core
throbbed and became damp, as if his tongue in her mouth had a direct connection
to her center. Her heels sunk further into the soft ground. She grabbed hold of
his shoulders and wrapped her arms around his neck, glad that his arms banded
around her. If truth be told, she didn’t think her legs would support her
weight. Daria whimpered in protest as his lips left hers to travel along her
jaw line to her ear lobe. His lips caressed, his tongue licked, tasting her
skin, and his teeth scraped the sensitized skin of her neck. She tilted her
head to the side, allowing for easier access to the ministrations of his wicked
mouth. She moaned in pleasure when his hand wrapped itself into her hair and
pulled her head back, further exposing her neck to his wicked mouth.
"Tell me
to stop, álainn, or I will be tempted to take you right here with naught but
the grass to lie you on, while I bury myself in your silken warmth.”
