Feed burner news
So, I hear though the grapevine Feedburner is closing next month. I really don't have many of you that scribe to feedburner, so I figured I ask everyone before I go pay for something else or try to dig up something for free that probably wont work half way right. If there is a lot of you what wants Feedburber then I will go find one, if not I'm not going to even bother.
Just leave me a comment and let me know you'd like to have a feedburner.
Thanks
Laurie

I just wish I knew what was going on with Feedburner officially.
ReplyDeleteIt's such a pain in the butt. But, you're right, the consequences of losing it are minimal.
ReplyDeleteDiana- I have no clue why Google is closing up all of this crap they have been offering all these years. Makes me want to just quit and open a read web-hosting site.
ReplyDeleteCarmel- Yes, it is a pain in the butt for sure. Mine still says 0 so I guess it will be up and running but the time they decide to quite hosing it LOL
I follow you via GFC so the feedburner is not affecting me :)
ReplyDeleteI had a feedburner on my blog as well but luckily I had so few subscribers it wasn't a huge inpact. I switched over to MailChimp because it's free if you have less than 2000 RSS subscribers.. maybe you could look at that to see if it was worth it? I didn't want to pay for anything either :S Google is frusterating me lately.
i used feedburner but i also follow by gfc so don't pay for it.
ReplyDeleteI was really anxious this morning when i discovered that and finally i've added feedcat and blogtrotter ( but to be honest i don't know the difference between them i put both just to be ssure in case someone needed it)
I've never used it, so it won't affect me.
ReplyDeleteLOL, really glad to see this post. When I checked my feedburner stats today and saw that rather than 70+ subscribers I had last week, I suddenly had ZERO!
ReplyDeleteI haven't used feedburner myself for ages, so the closure doesn't effect me as a reader.
Thanks for the info!

It's funny but I came looking for your email sign up. If it's not something that is used alot I wouldn't bother. If you do decide to go with another one DON'T PAY FOR IT
ReplyDeleteI follow by it, but also GFC so it would not affect me either. Definitely DON'T pay for it.
ReplyDeleteI do prefer Feedburner - to follow by email. FEEDCAT has been turning up today in a number of posts. Free I believe.
ReplyDeleteI do follow by Feedburner.
ReplyDeleteI usually follow through email. I keep up with lots of blogs so I love having the post sent to me via email so everything is in one place. I even follow my own blog through email LOL.
ReplyDeleteI use Feedburner, but if there's something similar to follow your blog via email and doesn't cost you anything, that would work too.
