BDSM Authors vs. Bitten by Paranormal Romance Reviewers
November 1st – 30th 2012
The
whole month of November, Bitten by Paranormal Romance will be playing the
submissive role, while the BDSM authors will be in the dominate role. Since we
are playing the submissive role, we will each have our own safe word. The safe
word will be used if we can't finish the book. We will publish the review using
the safe word and telling why we had to use the safe word.
I
sent out a call to all BDSM authors a month back to bring their books and see
if they can push out push our limits. Now, it’s time to see who used the safe
word first.
This
is open to all BDSM sub-genres, not just paranormal, so you get a good verity.
I
the reviewers and I had so much fun hosting this challenge for you and the
readers. We also want to think each author that had the courage in sending us
their book to review.
I
hope this challenge helps you in picking up your next BDSM read.
Happy
reading
Laurie

I think that's a great idea. Can't wait to see what you guys have on board.
ReplyDeleteOne expert told me the most scandalous BDSM she ever read was published in the late 1800's.
ReplyDeleteArtemis- At least you have a safe word. I can't for the likes of me think of one yet. I wonder why I'm having such a hard time..... Oh Yeah, I know it's because I'm vanilla, so I have no clue ROFL..
ReplyDeleteIt also sound like you need to find that book from the 1800 that Victoria is talking about, it might be right up your ally LOL
At least the 50 books has drawn attention to the genre & now people will go read the good books that were looked over until her.
ReplyDeleteI'm super excited about this! And remember that Victorian erotica I told you about reading laurie? That was the weirdest thing EVER. Shoot some birds, drink some brandy, have crazy/weird sex. That sums it up. LOL
ReplyDeleteI would have never had picked up a BDSM book before 50 shades, so I think that even tho. it might not be the best representation for the genre, it has a least brought it out the closet...A good thing I would think If I were and author of the genre.
ReplyDeleteIt has helped a lot of the author but there are still more out there that needs to be read. I know because I have read book by them in the past.
ReplyDeleteOh, I remember and I am sure you can pick up some of the hard core stuff if you read that LOL..
ReplyDeleteI would *love* to participate, but the only BDSM works I have over 60 pages contain watersports. The rest of my BDSM titles are under 60 pages. :-(
ReplyDeleteThis sounds great and would love to participate too but I'm with DC up there, I don't make the mandatory word count. I'll be sure to follow along though! Looks like it will be a blast. :)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to expanding my horizona since this is virgin territory for me!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds fun. I am sorta new to BDSM books. I never thought I would like them. But when Stacey Kennedy starting writing them, I had to check them out and that is how I discovered I LOVED them!!
ReplyDeleteCynthia, where in the crap do you get these words? I remember the last one you told me it was Fellatio.
ReplyDeleteWhat bothers me in a way is that BDSM is now becoming "main stream" due to a series of books that is nothing more than bad Twilight fanfic where the character names were changed and the sparkly vampire element was taken out. The same is true for the Cassandra Claire books only with Harry Potter.
ReplyDeleteHa, Midalah you bought up my original idea for this I wanted to call this "real BDSM authors vs BbPR" because to me Fifty Shades is not real BDSM, it's just a copy of some things. But I got to much heat off of that ARGH.. I do believe with the authors that are joining this challenge, we will achieve out gold in showing BDSM in it's true form from light to hard core.
ReplyDeleteI am one of the moderators for the GoodReads BDSM group. We are a bit over 1700 members with many authors. I saw this advertisement in the Kindle Smut group. Please let me know if you are interested in me publicizing it in the BDSM group.
ReplyDeleteThere is a book called The Pearl by Anonymous. It's serial Victorian smut and it is delightful. :-P
ReplyDeleteSo... I messaged my fav. BDSM author on FB and she said she submitted a story... I know this is probably a stupid Q... but I'm new to this site... but how can I see if her book has been read/reviewed for others to see... I really like her (Cherise Sinclair) and would love for more people to read her story's...
ReplyDeleteGmonModol- Not a sutpid question. We are posting at least one review a day and we are placing them day by day as each of us are done. We might have to double up as the month come to an ends. I do know Sinclair's book has yet to be picked up because it only been on the form for 3 days. I would look for her review closer to the end of the month.
ReplyDeleteAs for finding authors reviews on the site. I have us all tagging the authors name we review now, so once the review is on the blog you can scroll down and look at the labels to find the authors name. Click on the name your looking for and all of the reviews will pop up for that name.Let me know if you have anymore questions.
Thanks and I hope you enjoy the site.
Laurie
Oh this is awesome. I may need to link up your event. In a post :) I'm doing Naughty November on my blog. I only read erotica fiction all month. :)
