Review:

I'm excited to say that I loved this book. The plot was different and original. The characters are all very interesting and diverse. The settings are exotic and detailed.

In Lily's world there are only three vampires left. All of the others were killed off in earlier centuries. Lily lived through many tragedies in her long life. Starting with her becoming a vampire and ending with the predicament she ends up in by the end of the book. This story incorporates all sorts of different paranormal creatures: vampires, angels, humans, and lots of demons. I wish the book would have been longer and had a bit more details about Lily herself and how she became a vampire. There are a slew of other characters introduced and at first I was a bit afraid that I would starting confusing them. I tend to do that in a lot of books with multiple primary characters. Luckily each one is so different it is really easy to keep them all straight.

Lily takes off after deciding that she is putting her new love, Ian, in danger by being with him. Ian tries to think of any way he can to find her, and finally locates her only daughter, Becca. They start on a whirlwind of a journey to locate her. Along the way meeting up with several other close friends and co-workers of Lily.

This book leaves a lot of openings to be explained in the next book of the series. (I sincerely hope there will be multiple books that follow this one. I'd love to visit this world a lot more in the future!) This is a great book for any reader liking vampires, or just wanting something new and exciting to read! I loved it and highly recommend it.
