Discussion of the the month January 2011

It’s time to start a new year and that means a new year to read more books, so here is the discussion for January. How many books are you setting for yourself to read this year? And if you have any other goal’s set for yourself this year for reading. Like a certain series you want to read that either you have never gotten around to or something else.

I picked to read 250 and now I just hope I can read that many. I have also picked a couple of series I have been pushing back the last few years to read this year. One is Final Prophecy, by Jessica Andersen. I also found a series that is out of print, I am hoping to get them read soon. They are Everlastin' by Mickee Madden there is five in this set. Now last for my ever growing TBR shelf I hope to get to read at least 50 of them. I seem to keep adding and not reading…. I have no idea why LOL..

  1. I have 100 set for my goal this year, as for I have several I want to get to but hoping I can get to them first is The Fever series and The Sookie series are at the top.

As for my TBR I started I hope to I get to at least 50 too but thats high and doubtful lol.

  2. I have so many TBR's its crazy. Im setting my goal low at 100 since im on a full time college schedule and I have a 100 book challenge I signed up for. Last year I think I read close to 200. I think my main goal is just keeping track of what I read.

  3. I would love to hit the same number of books as 2010 (290!), but I have a feeling that starting grad school is going to make that very difficult. Hopefully I will hit at least 250, though. There are way too many books on my shelves that need to be read!

  4. My goals for the year are to read 110 books and review every single last one of them! (even if it's just a quick review) Also I have a handful of challenges I'd like to complete. I'm thinking that these are doable goals!

  5. 250?? wow! I hope to arrive to 200. In 2010 i read just 136 books, a shame.

  6. Oh my gosh, everyone! My measly 1 book per week looks like nothing compared to yours. LOL Of course, I do start full time college courses next month and have the ebook tours on my blog to coordinate. Those should keep me on my toes :)

  7. I just picked up the first two books in the Final Prophecy series, although I would like to get caught up on Lara Adrian's series.
I'm only trying for 70ish books this year because I'm busy with school and work and my blog so I don't have huge amounts of time to read.

  8. I want to read at least 150...since I am pretty sure I read about 200 last year it shouldn't be any trouble but I am so much busier now then I was last year.

I also want to formally track them and if time allows right my thoughts down about them. I don't have a blog so goodreads will have to do for now!

    Happy reading everyone!

  9. I read 197 last year, so this year I set my goal at 200.
I think it's attainable, but I have another book to finish writing, so I didn't want to raise it too high.

Maria-you can track them on goodreads,
Laurie, does Shelfari give you that option too?

  10. Highland Hussy- Shelfari is nothing like goodreads I hardly go on there... I didn't see a way you can follow you progress each year like goodreads.
